Bit of a risk giving a young Fairy as you say £100million to spend......how do you think he's going to sort out the defence?he's got all the tools as in the players he's bought,yet they have come in as good players from the previous clubs and have become bad players in a quick time.

waking up today, is no one else delighted we weren't on the end of a real beating? When it went 3-0 I feared it could be total embarrassment. Could of been 7,8,9 and it would have killed our season. We have to be thankful for small mercies. Loads of people won't have seen the game and losing 3-0 doesn't look too bad from the outside.

Concentrate on picking up points in the league. I know we are all guilty of having a go at players, but most of it is down to lack of confidence right now. They are all capable of playing much better, expecting their performances to change drastically from game to game is a little unrealistic. As a group we will get there slowly.

i don't know, maybe a change of goalkeeper will instill some confidence in then, maybe bringing in a defensive specialist coach will do. maybe playing the offside trap for a change will make the defence more stable, close the gaps to midfield and stop them running around like headless chickens

if we would have had sturridge at the front with lallana and sterling either side, cout, hendo and can across the middle, and manq instead of johnson we might have given them a game.
we would have been better able to sustain the tempo, better movement across the front and players willing and able to do something with the ball.

I don't think anybody lost respect for Real Madrid when we tonked them at Anfield in 2009.

I'll be honest here lads, the biggest disappointment tonight isn't the result, its the fact I've made myself two glasses of Robinson's Orange Barley squash and both times they have been woefully under strength. I'm not a big squash drinker by any means, but having a bad case of the thirst on not one but two separate occasions tonight led me to draw upon my normally reliable cordial making abilities. Yet like our beloved reds, I failed badly when it mattered most. Rest assured next time I get the urge I will go full strength, there will be no repeat, there can't be. You have my word.
