Liverpool fans are obviously not alone in this, but I'd say we're becoming one of the worst at it.

Brendan did a marvelous job last year, hes not this. What he did last year doesnt affect in any way what we are seeing on the pitch now

He has to stop the rot, I hope he does but I would now be surprised if he does turn things round

Yet when some on here dare to criticise a performance or rather lack of one from Gerrard, there are people, not you Lecter, lining up to have a pop and saying it is a disgrace because he is a club legend.

If Gerrard is to get a pass from some folk based on what he used to be able to do years ago, then by that logic Rodgers should be getting leeway for what he did only six or so months ago.

Personally I am of the opinion that a good performance should be praised and that a poor one can be overlooked until it becomes a string of poor ones. So in my eyes Gerrard, Rodgers and anyone else at the club is fair game for some constructive criticism if and when they are underperforming on a regular basis. But it does amuse me to see posters defend one person's poor performances and use what was done in the past as a reason why a person is above comment and then the same posters will slag off another player or the manager and not accept what they did in the past as an excuse.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I dont know. Playing Johnson repeatedly and not making subs till near the end of the game is the sort of thing that will piss people off regardless of internet.

Agree, but he's not off the hook.

I'm a bit disappointed (if not surprised) by how quickly many of you have given up on Rodgers. I really thought he had credit more in the bank after last season? It seems he's spent that pretty ****ing quickly with most of you.

My confidence is admittedly waning in him by the game, but we've got to stand by him and hope he can pull us through this dry spell. A couple of wins against Stoke and Leicester and things could quickly turn around.

If we have a decent run before Christmas we could easily be:
                    • Within touching distance of the top 4 by Christmas (we're only 5 points off now)
                    • Through to the Champions League knock out stages
                    • In the Capital One Cup semi-finals

You'd have to be an absolute ballbag to want him sacked mid-season after that.
Thing is we have been saying this for a while:"Win the next two and we'll be right up there...." but it never happens, we haven't won a game since october. IMO if he doesn't get a result or at least a decent performance this weekend he should be out, there are just too many things going wrong, for which he's responsible. And his handling of Gerrard is just killing him.
                    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Yeah if we have a decent run we'll be in touching distance of 4th. Not won in last 5, dont look like winning. But other than that totally nailed it

why the attitude/abuse to Sarb last time i checked free speech was still allowed, seems the Mods will allow abuse at a fellow poster and not allow certain posters to say what there own opinions are, chill out Chris really no need for it,don't worry mods i'll do your work for you Now both of you apologize or i'll make you kiss each other
