I would like to see brendan use the last few games to assess players for next season in their proper positions....that means that gerrard on the bench as he wont be here for next season.

Can Lovren settle down and be a player for us....so that we have sakho skrtel and lovren competing for 2 places....with maybe wisdom as a back up??? (Answer 50/50)

Can markovic cut it??? Give him 5 games to see if h3 can get some form.

frank, the tank is empty. We've had no goalscoring striker all season and Sterling/Henderson/Coutinho have carried us since August. These three, particularly the first two are dead on their feet now.

City and/or Utd may, no will, drop more points. But we won't be able to capitalise now. I've made my peace with that and expect the correct actions to be taken this summer (players, not management change).

In one of our worse seasons we're still no that far away from top 4. FSG can't/won't allow us to be this bad again.

Win this and it's down to 4 points from United. A draw and a loss and that's us above them. They have Arsenal at home and Palace away.

We have to beat Hull away then QPR at home. Pressure would be on them a little leading into West Brom at home and then the following weekend away to Palace. If they draw or lose one of them it's game on.

We would then have a massive game away at Chelsea, who may have won the title or still need a point. Either way they'll want to put on a show, but hopefully we'd have near a fully fit squad for that. The following week we'd then have Palace at home, and then United have Arsenal at home. Dependant on Uniteds other results, we'd likely need them to lose this game.

Finally, we both play away from home on the last day, us at Stoke and them at Hull. I think United may drop the 5 points we need them too, but it's all about that Chelsea game again. Had we beat West Brom, it may have allowed us to leave Chelsea with a point.

But I think after seeing Everton beat United today, it may have made our players smell blood again. I think we win the next two and after that we will have to see how United cope with the pressure.

Getting a bit ahead of ourselves there mate. Let's see can we beat Hull first. We've been poor for awhile now and us making the 4th spot is wishful thinking.

I've gone miles too far ahead admittedly, but I'm trying to show that with luck we still have a fighting chance and shouldn't just give up. United have lost their last two, they're hardly going to fly through the games themselves.

They have some tough fixtures left and IMO it's still something we should aim for.

United are average, unfortunately so are we. Yeah it's still possibly but we are relying once again on other teams to mess up.
