      STAT ATTACK!
It's an awful lot but hard to know if it really is unless we can compare that figure with the rest... How much have City spent over the last few years?!

Sorry? £770m might not be a lot of money? Of course it is!

I can go with that, but again if your league position means you end up in the following years Europa League then it's hardly a surprise.

Falling out of the CL and changing training patterns would carry more weight but not if you know you're in it from May.

The early games are (relatively) easy so it's a squad exercise with some young lads playing, win the games you should win and the rest become easy to manage.

The problem comes if you don't win the PL or EL games that you should you end up playing catch up playing the same starting team twice a week - that is a problem of your own making.

It's a lot easier now as the 2nd stage is a 2 legged knock out, much better and easier to manage than a elongated 2nd group stage.

Plus, the winners get into the CL - with City, Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea all ahead of us (generally) in the PL I don't understand why some fans turn their nose up at it.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I never said it wasn't but when you have teams like Utd & the Chavs who can blow £60M+ on one player until you put it in context & compare it's an arbitrary figure

eg Since 2008-2013 ie 5 years

Chelsea net spend = £328.7 million.

Man City net spend = £509.6 million.

So in comparison £770M over 25 years suddenly doesn't look like a vast amount (which of course it is & most of has been wasted on crap but that's a different discussion)

Would be interesting to see how much we recouped though....

I mean Suarez (75m) Alonso (30m) Mascherano (25m) Torres (50m) is 180m on 4 players alone.....then you have the likes of collymore, owen, fowler....who would have put another 30m in there as well....

Scanning through the list though, there is an awful lot of ****e in there. Also when you look at the players we have produced in that time - there is Gerrard Carragher Fowler Owen McManaman.........and not many more really. Even players that didnt make it at lfc, we didnt produce **** loads who went and made good careers (unlike arsenal and united who really did)

So to sum it up, ovsr 25 years LFC have been ****e at producing players and not great in the transfer market either......so of course we didnt win leagues....

It's just over £30m a season. Which in football terms isn't that much. Especially since it more or less coincides with the introduction of the Premier League and the cash that came with it.

It's listed as being on kingmedia.tv tonight - about £6 for a monthly subscription to a guaranteed rock solid and HD stream. All the big sporting events. red_g recommended it and he was spot on. **** all that hassle with streams for £6 a month.

And how will the PL/FA not shut this down pronto?

Totally recommended. Had it two months and it's only ****ed up once for me.

I downloaded the VLC player and that's it.

Like I said it has all major sport on it. Due to have the big fight on this Saturday too.

@JamesPearceEcho: No Steven Gerrard in the Liverpool squad tonight. #LFC

@JamesPearceEcho: #LFC: Mignolet, Can, Lovren, Skrtel, Johnson, Henderson, Allen, Ibe, Sterling, Coutinho, Balotelli.

Interesting to see how the attacking quartet work
