Does Rodgers deserve another season?

For me im massively undecided.

One the one hand I like Rodgers, and I think based on last season he definitely has earnt himself some time, but I do think he is weak tactically and most of last season was based on the fact we had a genius playing for us. I do think however that this season we have been unlucky with injuries, and a sharp decline of Gerrard, as well as having to rely on many young players that would always need time to develop. But at the end of the day it always stops with the manager, and this season has been poor(even though it looks like we're going to finish 5th, which is probably our true position). The main crime is out spending of the Suarez money, and the fact his inexperience got us massively found out in Europe.

The issue I have, and the main reason I am undecided is the calibre of manager that will be available in the summer, I actually think both Ancellotti and Klopp would be gettable and would definitely be worth an approach, I think both of these guys are better managers than Brendan, and would move us forward as a team. On top of this Rafa is also available, although im also massively undeiced on this as an option, Id definitely take him back but I know a lot of people wouldn't, and although I think he would do a good job the ****e that would appear if we go through any form of bad run probably wouldn't be worth it.

I think no matter who it is the manager we have from next season will have a job on. One way or the other. But if there is any hint of Ancelotti of Klopp wanting the job Id sack Brendan tomorrow.

It's one thing being out-played by better players/teams, it's quite another to be out-hustled by inferior players/teams. Get rid.

Deserves another season but if Klopp was willing to come to us then we should do everything we can to get him. I still think Rodgers self belief (bordering on arrogance) will steer this ship in the right direction again.

How does firiring Rodgers make a statement? Just curious as to how people see that. It could be seen as a signal that any player coming here will be part of a new 3 year plan before achieving something, rather than a go with a manager that's established some sort of core and ideas?

I personally feel we are starting again with or without Rodgers

We will be losing Gerrard, Johnson, Toure, Enrique, Lambert & maybe Lucas

We will probably sell Mario, Borini, probably Sterling as well

Its almost a complete rebuild, I just feel sticking with Rodgers and seeing how next season goes is a big leap of faith and if it does go to **** we will be rebuilding once again next summer

I'm not sure the club can afford 2 consecutive summers of complete rebuilds

Thats why my preference is to rip it all up this summer and start from scratch

That is as close to a rebuild we get mate. It is very rare that a team ships out 6 first 11 players and replaces them.

We really arent shipping out deadweight, it would be nice to call them that but they are pretty much involved in the squad every week (barring Enrique, Borini & Mario)

On Saturday Gerrard played, Lucas was on the bench, Lambert was on the bench, Toure was on the bench & Johnson was on the bench. They have all started games in recent weeks!!!
