Sturridge gets pelters for not playing when he's carrying a knock and Henderson gets pelters for playing poorly cos he has one.
if the heel injury is something that will not go away, he needs to add a lot to his game, which so far has relied on his running ability. with that gone, it shows his limitations, and lack of game inteligence.

he's just about got the time to learn and develop, he's got good technique, good first touch, but his passing and shooting need work.

also he'd benefit a great deal without the pressure of the armband, and maybe it would allow him to play to his strenghts and not try to play like gerrard.

If his heel injury doesn't go away he'll be sold and I''d go along with it. The current version of him isn't up to required standard but the fully fit version very much is, despite many people thinking he's ****.

Our pressing was excellent, our approach play was magical in places and our movement was a definite positive. We just couldn't get it together in the final moments which is understandable when we have our three best players getting their first minutes together and two of those returning from injury.

Our second half performance dropped. Possibly because a cup final may be paying in the back of the minds of a few players (knocks, fitness, etc) and Klopp wanting to keep Sturridge and Coutinho fresh for Sunday. Combine that with the nerves of seeing us through to the next round and the inevitable push Augsburg they were going to give, we did enough. Just.

Efficient is probably the word, with glimpses of promise.
Yep, if that was "****" "awful" and all the other drivel being spouted then well that's ****ing amazing news as we must be some team if thats us near our worst.

Go knock yourself out if you enjoyed anything on display last night. It was completely ****ing toothless once again.

I do think Lucas has found his position though as he's too slow for midfield. It's been ages since we have had a player change position. I'd pick him as first choice.

Toothless it was to be fair but we dominated them for most of the game so that doesn't equal "****" or "awful" to me. We created many chances and on another day we would have stuffed them. We played some good stuff to cut them open on numerous occasions and I enjoyed the game apart from us missing every bloody chance we made.

I'd be far more worried if we created **** all and toiled to a lucky win. We fully deserved our victory.

We got through, were comfortable until the 88th minute and created loads, it was decent enough, nothing amazing but equally if that was genuinely awful then we are in a really, really good place.

I agree on Lucas, he looks immense at CB and this wont go down well on here as it's Hendo, Can and Milner who get all the **** (sometimes deserved, sometimes not) but I think generally he's been dismal in midfield and looked shot to pieces, the worst of the lot so I find the constant calls for him to play DM every game weird even if the rest aren't pulling up trees. If Lucas put in the performance Can did last night everyone would have taken the day off work to display their worship. Heck, Lucas even got credited on here with our whole awesome run last season and he wasn't even on the pitch for half of it as he was injured!! The less he plays in midfield the better he seems to get as he certainly hasn't justified on the pitch this season, he's been a god here but not anymore. Unless......CB he's looked great so far and he's a beast in the air. Certainly a better option there than Kolo or the Slovakian international.

He's actual one of our best headers of the ball. Won quite a few against that big grock he was up against last night.

Yep, he's great in the air. CB seems to bring out all his best qualities, I'd play him there on Sunday but think Kolo will play, who's played well also to be fair!

Liverpool fans who already think Lucas is a better centre back than Skrtel. No wonder opposition fans mock us

Skrtel is crap, constantly dropping back, shirt pulling and generally instilling heart attacks.

                          Yep!

Fans idolising an average 30 year old plus comedy centre back. No wonder opposition fans mock us! (And no wonder we finish mid table with a **** defensive record every season!!). Meanwhile the same people hammer teenagers and 21 year olds who makes mistakes, and are already on Matip's case before he's even got here!! it's a weird old world!!

Fans idolising an average 30 year old plus comedy centre back just goes to show how **** Skrtel is. We've had a **** defensive record every season with Skrtel for ****s sake, not Lucas. The **** you talk. It's a weird old world in your head.
