Not forgiven. If I can't do my job I lose my job and no one is crying over it.

He gets paid a fortune and can't do the basics. Let us down massively.

It was a howler but it's not like no goalie would ever throw the ball out like that.
I just can’t agree with this either.

We will never see anything like this again in a major final, it was Sunday league stuff.
      Modifying post.

So I don't think the howlers had a great influence on the momentum of the game. We didn't score in 51 minutes and we equalised within 4 minutes of the first howler.

The second howler was a few minutes before the end of the game and we'd been on the back foot since Bale came on and scored within seconds.

The game changing moments were Salah going off injured and then Bale coming on.

The mistakes by Karius didn't really influence the momentum of the game IMO but those two events did.

We always had to get more than one goal to have a chance of winning this final and after 83 minutes we only had one.
        They rrally did fella. Sorry

Remember when Westerveld flapped one in against Bolton and by the end of the week Houllier had bought Kirkland and Dudek on the same day? Lol

The guy is ridiculously young still and the CL final has came too quickly in his development imo. The real mistake here, is persisting with Mignolet for far too long and then thinking he would be good enough to be our no.1 (again!) this season.

Had a very good season before last night. I'm sure Klopp won't be as knee-jerk as fans, if there is on option to upgrade, I'm sure he will. If not, I'm sure he doesn't feel his career will be defined by one game.

That being said, it was unbelievable stuff. How Madrid could benefit from that after the gift from Bayern's keeper in the semi's is mind-boggling.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Houllier was brutal like that. I hope Klopp is just as ruthless.

It's not just about his ability as a keeper now, it's as much about his mental strength. This is the type of thing that breaks careers, he is going to get abuse, and mockery for the rest of his career over last night, everytime he makes a mistake it will be mentioned he will constantly be under the microscope, it will take a lot to get over it and come back never mind get back to where he was never mind improve his ability as a GK.

If Klopp keeps him I think that it will be more or a reflection of his mental toughness than his GK ability, if he can mentally get over this he is probably capable of anything
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Football fans are fickle. A few good performances next year and it will be largely forgotten about. I'm not convinced it will be as defining as people make out. Maybe under a manager like Mourinho or Hodgson it would be different, but Klopp will help him get over it.

If Salah had missed two penalties to cost us the game or Virgil gifted them two goals, would everyone be saying their careers are over too?

He started really well yesterday too, was flying out for stuff which I love about him and is such a difference from Mignolet often being scared to leave his line, it helps us so much, made a few decent saves then it all went to ****. So annoying. It's tough but he's already had one "comeback" here, when do we say enough is enough? I think we have to upgrade now, he's a good goalie but I think it's fair to say we can definitely do better.

No question he has to be upgraded and probably sold on. Feel awful for him. Cruel game this.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
