Finding it hard to see past the first match. Hopefully we give the arse a good kick up the hole!

Season wise...3rd place and a couple of good cup runs would do nicely.
    I love Sarah

Tossing a coin between 1/2 & 3/4 full but went with the later.

        Win the league.

No Euro so we may as well focus, no point aiming for anything less before a ball has been kicked in anger.

Failing that I'd be happy with top 4.

        Too 6 is par.

        Less is disappointing.

We really need to make the top 4, and with no European football to distract us there are few excuses except that we aren't good enough.

I'd like to believe that we'd make the top 4 with ease and maybe be involved in a battle for the title given our ability to focus on the league, but it depends on what the other sides do. Our rivals for those spots all start ahead of us and seem to be willing to spend a lot of money so it's going to be difficult, if we get off to a good start and build some momentum I would go with 3/4 full, if not 1/2 full, based on the fact that we always do things the difficult way I think I will go with 1/2 full - If we get into the top 4 I would be happy with that as progress given how we've been the last couple of years.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

            3/4.

No doubt in my mind we at last have the right bloke in charge, and the signs; as i expected them to be before he was appointed, are super positive.

Of course, as seen with Leicester anything is possible, so who knows, but this vote is about my expectations, and not based on us having a lucky season.

As ever though, the Title has to be the target we aim for so i suppose it is my hope and dweem we achieve it this season.

FA Cup maybe. I think we're due one.

Half full - a top 4 finish would be like winning the lottery and would represent genuine improvement. That said I'd be okay with just missing out if I can see a plan that's working and lots of good football, it's going to be ridiculously competitive this season.

The league and nothing but the league. Aim for the stars. **** aiming lower.

                  It's time.

We're going to be competing with Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs for four places. The lack of European football will be a benefit this season, but as a club, no European football next season could be detrimental to what we are looking to build towards.

If we can eradicate the individual mistakes (or at least some) made by Mignolet and Moreno and have goals spread amongst the team, we should have enough quality to push hard for Champions League qualification.

We need a more consistent season from Firmino and Coutinho; a fit and firing Sturridge; Mane, Wijnaldum and Lallana stepping up to the goal scoring plate; and as a defensive unit, we need to be able to defend set pieces and defend a lead. If we can get all that to align, then we're in for a great season.

So what you are saying is that on paper we have a good chance. But it depends on one or two of the others having a little off season and us being more on that off?

                      Id go for that.

We need to do our bits well, and hope others dont.

The fact that we have no European football and that we have Klopp, who has had a full summer to prepare the squad is what's keeping optimistic we can get top 4 and a good cup run.
It's just - Mane and Wijnaldum as our main reinforcments for the starting 11... If they signed for United, we'd be laughing our asses off. You all know it's true, don't tell me otherwise.

I really hope Klopp can bring the best out of them, in that case we have a good shot at top places.

So is this thread about 'hopes and dweems', which tbf if asked everyone would say the Title, pretty simple answer given the question i think.

Or, is it about where we as fans seriously think we'll finish based on our rivals strengths versus ours ?

I think i covered both in my answer, just seems like some are answering differently.

I mean, we all hope and dweem we'll win the Title every season.

But they wouldn't be signing for Man Utd in all likelihood. That said Mane was linked before they focused on Miktiryan (sp)

Should be challenging for the title. Too much fire power not too. And we will. If we can keep it to 40 goals conceded or something we'll go very, very close.

With not many midweek games we are going to be cracking skulls.
