People said that about Leicester all last season. They said it about us too in 13-14, loads refused to let themselves dream. In the end they were right on that one but their pessimism did my head in. If you can't allow yourself to take joy from your team being in the hunt there really is little point. I reckon we'll be in the mix and I'll enjoy every last bit of it. And if we aren't, there's always next year .

Last season might have been a one off but think about it, 2 unfancied teams could have won the league and one did, in 13-14 we were unfancied and could have won it, probably should have. So one or more teams being in the hunt to win it is just as common these days as City or Chelsea being in the hunt.

We have as good a chance as any.
I will take joy if they're in the hunt don't get me wrong but they won't. We've seen it so many times, they lack the heart and the fight to ultimately become champions.

Hoping they prove me wrong but I've very little faith in them as a collective, in Klopp I do but not the players sadly.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

Like **** they were right. They predicted the correct outcome but those negative ****s were far from right.

We had a ball whilst they were wailing and gnashing away

If we aren't in it to win it, all of us, there's little point in being in it at all.
I genuinely believe we can win it this season too, it's football after all.

But do i think we will win it, i'm afraid i don't, not this season.

Quite simple really for me, i know we can win it, i know it's possible, and that's how i'll go into the season, but i won't be thinking we are going to win it, i don't think we'll be the strongest team, so it will be difficult, but possible.

So no expectations, just dreams and hope for me.

Been there done that for soooooo many years, and i just get angry when we lose, and i don't want that anymore, i was fuming we didn't win the Europa, that is one i truly expected to win.

No one has mentioned our tough start. Yet again I think it'll be a season of trying to make up lost ground all season. Nicking 4th will be the target come the end of the season (again), if we're lucky IMO.

I did, I think it will be a blessing in disguise. There are a lot of new managers and new players and teams will take time to gel, plus the Euros and Copa will have an impact. Obviously we have our own issues, but I think we'll be slightly better prepared early on and can capitalize on that. Worst case scenario, we lose, which won't have that much of an impact on our season overall as they are places most teams will drop points.

Arsenal wil be lucky to have 11 players fit for the opening game, so they will definitely be there for the taking.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Away though, arsenal fans are usually up for the first game of the season so that'll help them. Doesn't really let up thereafter with trips to WHL and Bridge to follow that in the first 5 games.

3 tough away games out of five. I'd say momentum is important especially with the mental strength our teams has. I'd have taken an easier start every time.

A lot of people have mentioned the tough start, it's not ideal but it could be a good thing for us if we can hit the ground running and pick up points from these tough away games it will leave us in decent shape later in the season when the fixture list becomes that bit easier for us.

Arsenal lost their first game last season 2-0 at home to West Ham.

                        I'm most worried about Oxlade-Something

Seeing 6th with the current squad. Might fluke 5th.

Clearly i didn't read the thread properly.

Yes, i agree though IF we win our really difficult games early in the season when we're trying to patch together a coherent team it will certainly be a good thing, if...

Has to be top 4, it's imperative we make top 4 and stay there for 3 out of the next 5 seasons at least, it's the only way top players will take us seriously as a consistent force.

It's always going to be an if though. I don't think many teams will relish playing us early in the season either tbh.

The friendly results are completely not fussed about, I think Klopp will have us fully fit and raring to go come the start of the season.
