Yeah. GD will be the reason. A win and 4 draws must improve GD. W2 D1 L2 is uncertain and has the potential to reduce GD.

It depends on the scores though, which presumably haven't been included. Assuming all wins and all defeats are by a single goal 1-4-0 gives +1 while 2-1-2 gives 0. About 3% seems a big difference for a single goal difference, but you could easily win a game by more than 1 goal (the same could be said for the defeats, but a team high in the table is more likely to win by a large margin than lose by a large margin). So just wondered what is and what isnt included.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I feel very positive as Lallana is almost ready for first team action! Options at this stage of the season are vital.

Looks like Rojo and zlatan are out for at least a few weeks potentially the season. And we have Lallana and Henderson due back very soon too. Probably relieves some of the pressure for results.

Think Klopp said in a PC that he did not know if Henderson would play again this season.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Yeah I just read. Not good news for us... Hopefully Lallana can make an impact.

As much as I don’t want United to win the EL, last night’s result was absolutely perfect for us and almost guarantees a top 4 finish unless we implode spectacularly.

Mourinho was already talking of resting players for the league games, but if last night had of went to plan I’m certain he would have went full strength against Burnley, then again against City if they won that match. With the injuries and e/t though, he has no choice but to rotate now and Mourinho being the **** that he is, will probably play his u-18 team to exaggerate the problem and blame everybody but himself.

Lump on Burnley this weekend if you are a betting man.

United winning EL and us finishing 3rd, I’ll take that.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

You want Utd winning two trophies out of four?

Ideally no, but if it guarantees us our objective (which I think it will) then i couldn't really give a ****.

Come August next year, I'll not be thinking about what United won, but if we don't finish in top 4 and are looking at EL fixtures, I'll certainly be thinking what we didn't.

Hopefully the plan backfires and Lyon put them out in the semi's.

A semi final loss would be amazing. Even a loss in the final will be acceptable..!

loss in the final would be better, more games, more heartache.

                            Nah, **** that.

For a start Man U throwing games includes City running them over weakening our chances of third with that rationale.

They've enough depth in their squad, FFS their backup strikers on the bench totalled £80m, so the injuries last night won't be that significant. Although i'm not sure what their CB situation is like.

I want City to stuff them, always have. That was my preference over a draw. Guarantee 4th and then I'll worry about 3rd.

United were/are our main rivals for 4th, so although I was cheering Anderlect last night, I'm glad now United got through and have an extra 2 fixtures.

Same. I think that result last night, having to play extra-time, picking up injuries, but still winning was exactly what we needed. More games to play, more need to rotate/rest players and more likely to pick up more injuries.
