We're still in a strong position. Arsenal are still in sh*t form and need to win their 3 games in hand, just to get level. They played 120 mins yesterday and will be up against a well rested Leicester squad who are in good form.

United are grinding out results, but the fixture list will start catching up with them now and will most likely drop points against City.

It may not be in our hands technically, but we're still short odds on favourites with the bookies and there is a reason for that.

I still wouldn't describe it as a good position by a long shot. If we win all four I think we do it, but after that result that's far from certain. Still, sharp end of the season, that sort of pressure to perform is what it's all about. If we deserve 4th we'll respond well and bag it, if we don't we only have ourselves to blame.

Ha, only catching up now, so didn't even check the time.

Would you swap with United or Arsenal though? (Actually, we probably would do better with United's fixtures).

I'm still fairly confident, however if we don't beat Watford and beat them comfortably, then that will be the time for me to give up. They are hopeless at the minute and even though that generally means nothing to us, there should be no excuses.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Still can't believe what a gutless performance that was yesterday when we knew how important a win would have been. It reminds me of the 2000 season where we blew it against Bradford and allowed Leeds to get the last CL spot.

Some serious questions need to be asked about the mentality of the players in the squad as just like last season when the pressure is on they bottle it. I only hope Klopp gets the backing he needs in the summer which I have serious doubts about even if we were to get CL football.

I don't think it's just about the position we're in, it's the problems we have and the potential for them to recur and cost us more points. We'll need to buck the trend we've had for much of the season. Although yes if we had Utds fixtures we'd probably win the title and one or four cups

Not sure if it's a good thing or a bad think, but United and Arsenal will both have played twice before we play Watford. By then we'll maybe know if it's back in our own hands again or not, although it could potentially mean that we go into the game 3 points behind United.

At least we've got 4 teams with nothing to play for now, they might not intentionally go out to not try but that **** does make a difference, heck even Celtic have dropped points since they won their league, it definitely takes a bit of edge off, I didn't think West Brom really looked bothered until 5 mins from the end when they realised they might get a point. Palace yesterday though were throwing bodies everywhere because they need points. We have more talent and far more motivation, if we honestly cant get this done then

At least Arsenal and Utd play twice before we play again, hopefully with **** ups in their derbies. Dont have much hope of Leicester or Swansea doing anything.

And what you mention above, Utd will find Swansea next weekend in the same frame of mind as we found Palace.

It'll be a bit different for UTD. For us we had Benteke trying harder than usual because its us, and fat sam going all out to beat us. I fully expect UTD to destroy swansea.

Utd might 'destroy' Swansea but I was at the game and Benteke was his usual crap self. He does so little, just between nothing and bare minimum. The goals in no way reflect him trying harder, he hardly had to move for either of them.

We probably needed 3 wins from 5 games prior to yesterday. Now we probably need 3 wins from 4 games. It will be tough, but it's definitely doable.

I think the number of games will start to show for Man United eventually.

There will be many more twists left in the top 4 race yet IMO.

I'll be on a stag in Albufeira for the WHU game, so was hoping we'd have 4th place secured by then, so I can enjoy the match without the risk of it ruining the holiday.

                        Not looking likely now.

the bookies have us 1/2 to make it. United will have to show up away from home against some good teams, Although my worry is that with ibra out that they stumble upon some super lucky formation and Rashford or Rooney have some sort of magical last 6 games.

I think why alot of fans are down or negative is because it just keeps happening time and time again. We get an opportunity to take advantage or to get some daylight between us and rivals and we **** it up.... then have to rely on other results. The highs and lows of bring a LFC fan is relentless. There really is a serious mentality problem in the squad, the team seems to fall into a rut so easily. You usually know how we are going to play within the first 10 mins. What on earth has happened to our high press btw!? It has all but disappeared... players knackered maybe? You seen it with the mancs yesterday who have played more games than us and recently as Thursday night and they didn't give Burnley a second on the ball.

I wonder what are the chances of Lallana or Henderson even being in the squad for Watford? Need them desperately. I would like to think that Klopp has been shown exactly what he needs to fix in the summer window, having a place in the champs league will make that job a hell of alot easier.

Well we've certainly made life hard for ourselves with that **** result.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Think you got it spot on Dan , Groundhog day with our team.

Top 4 for the taking and we literally keep throwing it away.

Still think United going to fall short with all the games left for them.
