If we manage to squeeze the top 4, I am hoping that all these lows and ****e performances have given a true perspective and ensures Klopp has a major clearout.

Really hoping that we see at bare minimum 4 new players to the first 11 from next season. We need heart, pace and strength, another major overhaul i am affraid.

Yeah I think I have become a bit cynical of LFC in recent years because of exactly what happened yesterday. You are just waiting for the inevitable fall. I wonder are the players suffering from a bit of that too questioning themselves?

It just doesn't make sense how we can go out and crucify the best teams in the country and they capitulate against premier league fodder. I can't put my finger on it whether it is consistent complacency or just plain arrogance and consistency underestimating opposition. **** knows but it's beyond irritating.

Still think United going to fall short with all the games left for them.
I do think the players and fans are so use to this happening and us falling short that is kind of expected. That seed of doubt creeps in. I think I'm a slightly negative person anyways (Don't like that about myself) but even mates of mine that I would consider overly positive over the years are starting to get that way too. Poxy to see actually as I"m so use to being the miserable cunt of the group

I hate that we are relying on other teams to **** up. If United get champs league and we don't after what has gone on and even their run in now, I think i'll give up. If that happens then this club has some serious **** to sort out.

what is amazing (trying to get some positives ) is how the **** are we actually still in position for a top 4 finish - we've got a ****ing **** squad, far too many players missing on a regular basis and we make the same mistakes consistently

whilst it's infurating and we pose so many what if scenarios it ****ing really grates - if we somehow pull off a top four finish given it feels like we've fell apart at the seems a bit i'll be made up

We have to win minimum two games imo - points on the board at this stage of the season mean more than games in hand and i'm sure between them arsenal/united/city will drop a couple points somewhere.

but ideally i'd like to see 3 or 4 wins but we just don't have that in the locker - if we can get 2 wins/2 draws - further 8 points - 74 points, pretty high total and I think we will be damn close with that
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

We get an opportunity to take advantage or to get some daylight between us and rivals and we **** it up.... then have to rely on other results. The highs and lows of bring a LFC fan is relentless. There really is a serious mentality problem in the squad, the team seems to fall into a rut so easily. You usually know how we are going to play within the first 10 mins. What on earth has happened to our high press btw!? It has all but disappeared... players knackered maybe? You seen it with the mancs yesterday who have played more games than us and recently as Thursday night and they didn't give Burnley a second on the ball.

I wonder what are the chances of Lallana or Henderson even being in the squad for Watford? Need them desperately. I would like to think that Klopp has been shown exactly what he needs to fix in the summer window, having a place in the champs league will make that job a hell of alot easier.
To me the lack of press is attitude

Some people will obviously say lower opposition dont have the ball as often so press is negated and whilst there is an element of truth in that the gap between our possession and theirs is never that large. We dont have the ball 100% of the time, hell we probably dont have it 60% of the time against crap teams so you still have to press the same when they have the ball

I think I have said it before in and out of possession against crap teams we think we are better than we actually are

By that I mean I think we dont press as much against **** teams because we think its only Bournemouth, Palace, Burnley and they cant hurt us

Secondly in possession against crap teams we are notably slower moving the ball "its only Bournemouth, Palace, Burnley so we can take a few extra touches"

Truth is in and out of possession we arent that good to be able to do this

yeah I agree with this. The tempo of our game is significantly lower against "lesser" sides. Complacency or arrogance, maybe a bit of both. Either way it should not exist in our game on such a constant basis.

What annoys me is that these sides aren't as good on the ball & struggle when pressed high and hard like any side that aren't excellent in possession. Even we struggle in possession when pressed high. The contrast in our performances between the top and bottom sides is ridiculous.

One thing that IMO is most evident, when was the last time LFC didn't have a quality striker? Suarez, Torres, Owen, Fowler, Rush, Keegan, Aldridge, St John, Dalglish, Toshack etc. Even Heskey got 22 goals for us in 00-01 ffs. The quality of striker we have had over the years is nothing short of incredible and now nothing.

It's the first time in since I can't remember that the club do not have a top striker. Even a flat track bully would be nice right about now. What a difference it would have made this season IMO.

Keep saying it but its harder to start with a slow tempo and improve than it is to go flat out and ease off the throttle later

Starting with the right attitude / tempo is enormous in all sports

Fact is we dont do that in the games against the lesser teams

Theres probably 2 levels to Benteke. Really ****, or just **** with a little movement. We got the just **** version. He seemed to be trying to push that extra half yard in his step instead of foot.

Why do loads of you STILL insist Benteke is crap?

That's 14 goals in 31 games for a team near relegation. Pretty much one in two. Same ratio as he had for Villa.

He was crap for us, but he's been one of the most prolific strikers in the Premier League in the past SEVEN seasons. Only Aguero and Lukaku have scored more than him over that period.

no... we lost the champions league when we had no quality striker last. Crouch/ Kuyt v Barros /Cisse.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

We're not that good with the ball either which is part of the problem

I disagree a little as we pressed the **** out of Hull and Watford earlier this season and scored 10 goals. I think we lack the fitness, right players (Lallana, Mane and Henderson) and therefore the intelligence to press.

So we pressed Hull & Watford but havent done it since in those type of games

I personally dont think we've done it anywhere near enough against the lesser sides and I dont put it down to tiredness because we can then go and do it in the bigger games
