Same as under our good season under Rodgers, a single decent player or two in January could have made a massive difference.

How do you know we didn't try to get a decent signing or two in January? Klopp said he wouldn't buy for the sake of it & would only do business if the right player was available did he not? So why do the owners get the blame?

I really struggle to believe that even some decent loan signings weren't made,considering how depleted we are with injuries as well.

As I said, I fully trust the owners to back Klopp & ive heard nothing from Klopp to suggest he hasn't been backed in the transfer market. What top sides are going to loan out top players in the middle of the season though? We only loan out ****e who can't get a run for whatever reasons so why would it be any different elsewhere?

For all Klopps time spent in Germany,you saying he couldn't think of any single player?You don't have to get players from top teams ?Have you seen the state of our starting x1 due to injuries? Look at the squad depth? players on the bench?Not that of a team chasing CL.

I agree but no one can foresee the injuries that we've had since Xmas though. I'd have liked a couple of players in & im sure they tried but it is what it is. If Mane had of stayed fit we'd be securely sitting in 3rd spot I'd imagine. If we'd bought a replacement he could have been the next Aquilani or the next Alonso. We just don't know I'd said player would have hit the ground running or not do we.

That's true but overall our squad strength is pretty poor....The bench shows that....this summer we really need to invest heavily.

Boro should be relegated when we play them West Ham will be the tough one.

What is nice from our point of view is that other teams will drop points and at the moment we're in the drivers seat. I'm not a fan of saying players 'bottle' a game or situation but tonight feels like a game that will require a tough mentality. The teams around us all dropped points and we have an opportunity to guarantee going into the next game week ahead of all 3 with United playing Arsenal.

If tonight goes how we all hope I think it would take a shocking run in our last 3 games to miss out on 3rd or 4th. City having 3 games at home is probably tougher for them especially against counter attacking teams like Leicester and Palace. We could conceivably draw to both Southampton and West Ham and still sneak in by beating Boro on the final day.

We need to simply concentrate on our own form, our ability to drop points in matches we should win with ease is more worrying for me than what our rivals do.
