I think he's got potential but he needs more games. At his age, he needs to be playing regularly and he's not going to get that here unless he delivers straight away.

I can see the talent though. One for the future.

I think that players of his age and experience level, really need to be playing regular football somewhere before you can judge them, a game here and 30mins there does him no good. He really needs a loan, I can understand that we didn't want to sign him and ship him straight out on loan but IMO that is really what he needed, and I suspect we will end up doing this next season, which in effect means he's wasted this year.

He works hard, true. The rest of the tools though, they look a bit blunt to me.

Admittedly he's only shown them in youth or reserve football so a big step up, but despite his lack of goals, I don't think he looks out of his depth in the first team. Would love him to get one in the second half.

I'm definitely not basing my assessment on this game, but the season as a whole. Granted, his time has been limited, and he's not found a groove, but still. I just can't see the potential.

Ings just looks like a man who has had a couple of seasons out with injury. Whether he ever recovers, we'll have to wait and see.

Looks like a poor mans Divok Original so far, needs a goal to get his confidence up. That was a sitter really first half.

I agree. I'm not sure what he is really, what his stand out strength is. Not exactly a deadly finisher, not a dribbler, not full of flicks and tricks, not a beast mode man mountain. His movement is generally good but I don't think being a decent all-rounder is enough at this level.

The level of players that Klopp is bringing to the club I doubt either Solanke, Ings and Origi have a future here. Sturridge obviously doesn't.

He clearly needs a loan to play games at a high level, iron out his issues, and we can see what he brings to the table. The way he shapes himself when he strikes a ball shows that he can be a clinical forward, instinctive etc, but he's not strong enough, and not mobile enough as of yet. Whether that's due to match sharpness, I don't know, but would like to see him sent on loan next season.

We need numbers as well as quality, as our current injury crisis is showing. While I'm sure we'd love to be able to bring in a few big money top quality attacking players in the summer I don't think that is realistic, probably one will be brought in, but a few of those guys will still be here next year. I think that Solanke will go out on a season long loan next year, but I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of Ings and Origi were involved for us next season.
