Is he a predator in the box?

I'm not sure what his record was like for Chelsea youth teams but his record for England youth level is pretty good, particularly in the World Cup and Euros his age group won. He also looked a decent finisher in pre-season. Plus in one of his few outings recently for U-23's he scored a hat-trick.






Does he have good touch and ability to hold the ball up well?






Dribbling or tons of pace?




Is he good in the air and could he be a batterring ram of a play?





Obviously these posts don't prove anything, just people's opinions. The point is when he was scoring in preseason, the general consensus was he looked a good all round player. He looked strong, fast and a decent finisher. At one stage fans were calling for him to be our No.1 striker. It hasn't worked out for him so far in the first team and it maybe never will. Maybe if that West Brom goal wasn't disallowed we'd be having a whole different conversation, but it seems that because he hasn't scored he suddenly has lost these attributes that he was previously getting praised for.

Hope you're right, but he is like 20 or whatever and hasn't got a goal to his name (in our first team) and I just don't see how he fits into our style of play.

He's played one game of 90 minutes, one of 81 minutes and one of 66 minutes in the league this season. The rest are from the bench for 1min, 2mins, 3 mins x3, 6 mins, 9 mins, 14 mins, 19 mins etc... Not hard to see why he's not been prolific so far. Too early to right him off, but he does need game time.

I actually think Ings is miles better than him as he shows good movement and works his nuts off - still doesnt make him worth keeping mind

Not sure I agree with all of the above Lec - He does have a good touch, he also has the ability to beat a player and control the ball in tight situations and whilst he might not be rocket man he's no slouch - he won the golden ball in the u20's world cup last year as player of the tournament and got the golden boot in the u17's Euro's a few years back. It's too soon to right him off on the back of a few cameo appearances.

Yeah - but I also remember Fowler, Owen, McManaman, Gerrard, Stirling etc...Not saying he's that level, I just think it's too early to right him off- I hope you are wrong - we'll just have to wait and see when and if he gets some game time.

I wouldn't go so far as saying he has no future, I think he could turn out very decent, but I'd rather loan him out for a full season, we can't rely on him for back up.

Pretty decent young player all round. Needs to show a bit more than that to be getting half-regular games with us, let alone make it here.

I think Klopp obviously sees something in him. I think it is worth persevering with him but whether we can get him enough game time to bring him on is a real issue.

The enormous difference was those players you listed looked quality when they got their chance

He is ****ing rubbish. Never going to be a player for us and will be knocking about at Rangers next season then scoring 10 goals at championship level.
