And our buddy Gimenez with the winner.

Worried now. I reckon he's there as a talisman only and soon as their WC is over it'll be decided to give him an operation

If there was any level of "fitness" then he would have come on for 10 minutes.
Hes ****ed, Egypt are ****ed and so will we be if we think he will return fit and ready to play.

Not necessarily. 0-0 would have been a good result so while it stayed like that, risking him may have seemed unnecessary. First game draw, Salah some extra healing time, would have been a perfect opener.

But sure he should have got up and played on in the final according to some.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Our buddy who signed a new contact btw - being a 90s football fan I grew up with Montero and Samuel as two of my fav players. Tough, uncompromising and win at all cost South American centre backs and we went and signed the on,y Uruguayan hippy in Coates.

                        because it is true.

Great call on Montero. He was a beast and Gimenez plays a bit like him. Fernando Hierro was the non LFC player that blew mind mind in the 1990s, but Montero was not far behind.

Ayala was small but what a spring - him and Samuel were some partnerships for Argentina although Poch played a bit for them.

Ultimate defenders. Always remember Ayala under Cuper at Valencia... What a class side they had for those few years.
