Mane and Salah are on a different level to this lot (bar Coutinho)

A lot of the players on the field today won't be getting a lot of football for the rest of the season after that.

The positives to take from this game have to be.

        1) Coutinho getting 45 minutes and running the game
        2) Solanke showing glimpses of what he can do
        3) Woodburn getting 45 minutes and being back around the 1st team
        4) The full time whistle

Henderson needs to up his levels of he should be off next year, he's been poor for a long time now.

The likes of Woodburn, Solanke and Ward will all miss out and I don't think any of them deserve to. Some senior players need to have a look at themselves.

Don't forget 5) Robertson, probably our Motm for the first half performance.

Also 6) Ward looks pretty commanding.

Think it's a shame about Hendo because I think we'd all agree there's a better player in there - perhaps still feeling injury problems, but far too careful and not nearly aggressive enough for a captain. For me, the lack of opportunities for fringe but promising players is the biggest disappointment. Really hope we can fit them in and are brave enough to relegate some underperforming dross..
              Really?

I'm drained watching us and it's only the start of the poxy season.

Would love to see Ward get a few first team games before a decision is taken on sending him out on loan. The current situation could be a big break for him and LFC - on tonight's showing he looks good enough to be first cover at least. Wouldn't say no (at this moment) to selling Mig in the winter, promoting Ward and signing a young keeper as back up. Perhaps a little optimistic...

He's not a bad player but he's no leader that much is for sure. I don't think Henderson is a great player though, confidence is low in the team which is impacting him but his constant sideways, backwards and wayward passing is really poor.

I'd give the Captaincy to Can, he's the only one ****ing vocal enough and willing to take some responsibility in that entire team. Bad times.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Oxlade was awful all game. Woodburn needs to take his place on the bench.

Very disappointing 2nd half, we weren't strong or creative enough

On the proviso that on the pitch he's only allowed to shout in German. That's got to sound more intimidating.

Yeah, not a great start from Ox.

                          Hopefully just bedding in................?

Interesting to hear Klopp blaming not winning 2nd balls

                            Big bugbear for me that
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Klopp blaming (failing to win) the second ball again for the first goal. Not sure about that this time, but at least he has in his mind a consistent reason for it.

Our problem is behind our best attacking players we have a real lack of quality.

The midfield has a lot of players who would be acceptable as complimentary players or squad players but they can't all be starters, which for me, means they aren't good enough.

                                The defence is worse.

Keita coming in next year will help massively in midfield but unless we get a better 'keeper, right back and centre back we'll continue to throw games away we should be winning.
