If the defence had all pushed up together like they were supposed to (it was only Gomez who was playing ~4 of their players onside before the ball came back in) then we wouldn't even be talking about this. I don't blame Henderson there at all. I'm choosing to blame Klavan to be honest He should be organising it better and shouting to push out, but quite what Gomez was doing dropping back on his own I don't know

Honestly week in week out ... we get corner after corner and more times then not we cannot even beat the first man ... 6 .. 7 corners a game and not a ****ing chance of a goal ... as soon our opposition get one ****ing chance its likes the entire team ****s its pants

I dont think we are that far off. a solid centreback pairing is all we need.

The problem is twofold.

Confidence and quality.

When our team is playimg with confidence we can defend ok. but we dont have the ability to grind at the moment, and thats because our entire defence seems terrified of the ball and each other. no one trusts anyone. it gonna take a bit of work and perhaps a change of tactics to resestablish some confidence.

The quality we are ****ed on... until January.

IMHO... the best course would be to finish 3rd in the CL group and qualify through the Euro cup as winners. if we finish in the top 2 our season vould be over in the spring

Sorry Charly but we're miles off. None of the glaring weaknesses have been addressed and the blame for that lies firmly on Klopps shoulders.

We should have purchased at least two defenders, ideally got a stronger midfielder in. Appreciate we got Keita or should I say getting Keita but we could have done with him this season.

We need a better GK and a better finisher too along with leaders, we're miles away from being a complete team. It's going to be a challenging season.

Honestly its just groundhog day ...

I think once we have Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Robbo at the back hopefully we can sort this silly nonsense out although as Wiw pointed out our Midfielders also need to help our back 4 out

Problem with our defenders and midfielders not one of them seems to know when to sniff out danger , whether that means taking a player out so we re group or getting a tackle in, Mash was the master at it.

Grujic was already on a yellow wasn't he so couldnt risk it with SLimani

fair enough .... both of the set pieces came from his reckless challenges ..but hey we should be able to defend a ****ing set piece or two by now .. the first goal was so pedestrian ....Hit up to the big man .... put it in the box ..knock it down for the most ****ing dangerous man on the pitch who is completely unmarked .. unpressurised and allowed to take a run at it ... **** me!

I think Gomes had to get across and show him outside rather than inside. With 4 people playing LB and only 1 CB it was the obvious choice

I played against Johnny Wark he was so small compared to when i watched him live.

Dale Gordan and Robert Fleck as well , Dale was brilliant , miles ahead of anyone else on the pitch with his touch and vision .

Also played a game once against this fella who i chased for the entire 90 minutes and didnt get anywhere near him , asked the lads who the **** was that bloke and they replied Lee Norfolk , played in the Ipswich team that beat us at Anfield the previous season .

In my head the lads said 'Lee Norfolk' in the same way that Ronnie Pickering says his own name
