What gets me is that we knew with Mane Salah and Phil that we would create alot of chances.. We are desperately missing someone to covert them. Someone clinical like Kane, Lukaku, Morata, Aguero and we would be out of sight .

So frustrating the certain problem areas were not addressed . Just keeps coming back to Jurgen is the arse. We should still qualify from the group and rightly so as it's ****e but I fear it will be just papering ove4 obvious cracks.

A marginal improvement on Firmino sees us with a 20 goal a season centre forward. He was dreadful tonight, 2nd game on the bounce. He isn't the genius some like to paint him as.

These things happen in football. The moment you stop is the moment we should all pack in. Look ahead. We're still second in the group and we will improve. These are fine margins.

On the plus side barring that goalkeeping mistakes I thought we were very compact and good defensively and we controlled the game from start to finish.

On the plus side, the group is tight and we play Maribor twice then Spartak at home. We should qualify but we ain't going much further than that.

Firmino isn't a striker so you can't blame him for not being as clinical as a strikers should be.

Controlled because they let us. They had no ambition going forward and threw everyone behind the ball. As per the norm, we couldn't get past deep lying packed defences

I replied above about Firmino. I completely agree with what you are saying. The chap isn't a striker to be fair to him. Frustrated the life out of me but then I have to think that it is not his fault he is being asked to do a job that's not natural to him.

Firmino is not a goalscorer but we aren't a team which relies on one. We usually share our goals around. Tonight, we had three players suffering from profligacy in front of goal. Not just Firmino.
