Yeah basically the one thing he needed to do all game he ****ed up.

Apart from that he was brilliant

I don’t quite understand why he’s been bombed out. He had a bad game against Bournemouth and since then he’s been sidelined. IMO, the best this team has ever looked was with him in goal start of last season. His distribution is much better than Mignolet and that’s a massive part in relieving pressure from defence.

He also told the Neville brothers where to stick it and that’s the sort of character we need

Because he was struggling and getting pelters for it, and we had a better keeper on the bench. The thing I don't understand is why Mig was dropped for him in the first place. On the evidence to date, Karius is not the keeper we need. If we're going to replace Mig then we should do it with an obvious top class keeper.

They both make mistakes so I would take Karius’ distribution as the deciding factor for the moment.

You could pick any keeper on that basis as they all make mistakes. But Mignolet is significantly better than Karius at the moment imo, I haven't seen fantastic distribution from Karius that would make up for his other deficiencies.

I'm no fan of Mig but he is a far superior keeper to Karius and with our current options should be first choice without question. Baffling what Klopp is doing back there.

Utd are functional at best. But i would take a bit of functional to be honest. If only we had De Gea but we have dumb and dumber unfortunately.

I'd rather give Ward a chance in the CL.

Wow, you must have a really low opinion of Karius

I thought he looked uncomfortable with the ball at his feet. Am I missing something?

Karius is hardly calmness personified with the ball

Yeah I don't get it. He's decent with the ball, but he's nothing special.

Mignolet is below average with the ball, Karius is probably slightly better than average.

There are other facets to a goalkeeper that are hard to quantify. A certain arrogance and presence for example. Mignolet does not bring these to the table in any way, in fact, I think his lack of self-confidence has a detrimental effect on the team. Karius seems like a smug ******* but in a good way for a keeper.

                              Karius' PL record:

                              P 11
                              W 7
                              D 3
                              L 1

                              4 clean sheets
