That goal all leads back to Can putting us under ridiculous and needless pressure

It's only bloody football though. Life goes on.
Last night the mistakes came from our forwards who scored three against Leicester at the weekend. So I don't think you can say they are the same mistakes.
      Are we winning?

We got past the deep lying packed defence many times, we just couldn't put the ball in the net at the end of it.

However, that will come, it's all about confidence in front of goal. We just need that first shot to go in, and it should give the players a lift. We are creating chances for fun, and confident players will see us scoring a load of goals.

Qualification from this group is still ours, that I'm not worried about.

        But Karius...bring back Mig!!

If Karius saves that would we have been lauded in the same way Man Utd were away at Southampton for winning 1-0?

Probably. A dominant performance and a win. But Southampton are probably better than Spartak.

No, Man United win ugly and no matter how bad they play they seem to get a win.

At the moment it feels like no matter how good we play we concede on average 1 every 3 shots on goal and score every 50! Not good.

So I've not read back through this thread for fear of getting depressed but I imagine there's been a bit of talk about the penalty that wasn't given for the blatant push to Salah right?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I watched the game on Irish tv last night and they had Shay Gucen in the studio. He defended Karius by saying he probably should have reacted quicker but he doubts he would have kept it out even if he got a hand to it because it was hit so well.

Didn't think it was a penalty myself, thought Salah was just light weight. Don't think many mentioned it, just more pissed off about how wasteful we are.

Are you referring to the second incident? The first one was assault, the only thing saving that was if he was whether he was onside or not.

Not sure who Shay Gucen is, but Karius was most definitely at fault for that goal and a better keeper would have saved it easily.

If he'd kept that out, I believe we would have gone on to win that game by a comfortable margin, but conceding with their first real shot once again knocked the stuffing out of us, and even tho we responded quickly, we kept snatching at shots or fluffing our lines.

Edit: Shay Gucen? Shay Given but typed at speed?

Shay Given - top GK in his day.

Mind you I did blame Karius at the time!

That was piss poor from Karius. Other than that, he didn't do much wrong.
