Sane was offside at Anfield, ridiculously close but close or 10 yards, it's still offside not to mention Karius went at it half hearted as the whistle went. Sterling committed about 45 yellow card offences in the 20mins or whatever he was on yet it was our captain that got banned for not a lot. Loads of refs would also have disallowed/stopped their goal yesterday too. A couple went our way and haven't seen the Salah offside again last week but it wasn't exactly one way. We also got booked for **** all last night, Dijk's especially was an absolute joke.

The reality is they were totally outclassed over 180minutes and despite being doped up to the eyeballs financially they are still a nothing club in their own City let alone European football.

That few seconds before the yellow was given was the only time throughout the whole tie I panicked. The early goal didn't faze me as I always expected City to score and was confident we could do the same.

When play got called back for the foul though, especially with Mane involved again, I was having flashbacks of the Ederson red. I think we could have overcame a second or third goal from City, so the post and offside I could have coped with had they went in, but down to 10 men I think we’d have blown it. It never was a red, but I was convinced we were going to get stitched up at the time.

Seen reds for less. Ederson is saved only by Mane's restraint imo. If Mane reacted in kind, there's a good chance they'd both have gone.

I just had a look at that thread posted above and am amazed at the bitterness expressed. They are not victims, they got beat fair and square and they don't like it. Simple as.

It clearly could have been, raising hands to an opponent in that way is at least a yellow card. And he did it 3 or 4 times. Whether in the spirit of the game it should have been is a different matter, but it could definitely of been two successive yellows if not a straight red.
