It’s schoolboy stuff. If you saw someone in the park do that you’d be embarrassed for them.Originally posted by RichC View PostIf tonight’s result aren’t enough for us to go out and spend big on a keeper I don’t know what will.
Feel for the lad but it’s a CL final, big players do not make those sorts of errorsModifying post.

The footballing gods did not look in our favour tonight. Our main superstar gets injured, thanks to a bog-eyed cunt, our goalkeeper commits two major errors, and a chimpanzee scores a worldie.
We've now lost 2 Champions League Finals, Europa League Final, FA Cup Final, and League Cup Final since 2007, with one League Cup win in 2012.

Ok big picture time -
We got to a CL final. What an achievement! I don't think we embarrassed ourselves (bar the keeper) and there is definite room for improvement.
We lost the Europa league final and we made significant changes.
We've lost the CL final and I think this will again force Klopp to re-examine the team and make the changes that count.
Absolute top priority has to be a new No.1 keeper and a forward.
They had Bale, we had Lallana (a midfielder).
I just hope this doesn't affect us going into next season..Was muß, das muß.

Really hurts and I'm so angry with Karius but he's a young man and would have wanted this less than us, so the better part of valour is to forgive. I don't want him as our number one though, not unless he can show some real balls early doors next season. As for this one, we've done well. We've come a very long way in a short space of time and for a squad so thin as ours it was always going to be the case that a player or two let us down. We've a lot to look forward to next season, as we're going to be stronger. Just hope this doesn't affect the lads too much. We did so well getting this far, let's remember that.Really?

It's easy to point the finger at Karius, but the truth is when Salah went off that was more or less it, we don't have the depth of squad to win a game like this. Look at the subs we made Lallana as a replacement for Salah, I like Lallana, but I don't think he's fully fit and he offered very little today, but he was our best option. Compare that to Madrid, who had Bale that came on and won the game for them. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I agree, took a lot of courage for him to walk up to the fans and say sorry like that, and he's probably more devasted about his mistakes than any of us. He's not good enough for this level of football, and clearly shouldn't be our number one but we need to forgive him and move on (maybe not today).Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostReally hurts and I'm so angry with Karius but he's a young man and would have wanted this less than us, so the better part of valour is to forgive. We will defo be an even better team next season, doing some strong business, have a great manager and a great team to build upon.
