How can you not love this team?

If not I suppose you can support Barca (yawn) or City (who really gives a **** about city beyond 20,009 original supporters).

We are a real team, with personality, with heart, with real character. And we are getting better and better every year.

I'm debating none of that. Yet it feels like **** consolation when there's no trophy every year.

But some people support teams that will never win anything and never will - they manage. We are relatively spoiled, it’s not all about trophies for me (they’d be nice) it’s about enjoying supporting the team. Which it is hard not to.

Loosing away to Barca with the GOAT playing for them is not the time to throw they peel in. Dust yourself down and go again.

It’s hard Fuzzy yeah, I think we are all feeling that. But there can only be one winner in each competition as Bob says. Keep being thereabouts consistently our time will come again. We’ve had some real lows over the last 30 years & it finally will happen. This time it looks far more likely we will build on what we have done, albeit unfortunate timing with Citeh’s financial doping. Just gotta keep Klopp here for another decade!

I was pretty proud of the team tonight. Obviously two positions were not our best but that aside we took the game to Barcelona in their home.

A few signings to add to this squad and perhaps Klopp going a bit more offensive will take this team to another level. Lots to be happy about though.

I hope we smash them at Anfield. We've nothing to lose.

If we manage to get it to extra time at Anfield, apart from the psychological damage of letting a 3 goal lead slip, I think they'd wilt physically. We looked fitter and stronger than them for much of the game before they were rejuvenated by the goals. In extra I think we'd steam-roller them.

I can take a bit of Messi magic but to not score from those chances we created is unforgivable. We dominated most of the game and shat ourselves whenever they came forward. That was a ****ing joke, the mancs, city, chelsea and spurs fans will be pissing themselves at this.

We need a goal poacher, as mad as it seems with Salah and Mane scoring the goals they have, I'd never back either of them to put the ball in the net. Theres a video with Carragher and Mane at Melwood and Jamie slots home both chances of an open goal whilst Mane misses both. We desperately need a goal poacher, if we had one, we'd have the league wrapped up already. Salah seems to be a big game bottler.

That's the one single tiny positive about these results. You can easily spot the WUMs, the Mancs, and the Blues on here so you can ignore them in future.

Maybe it's my negative perception, but I feel that our success/failure is massively on the failure side. Since 2005 we've won one FA Cup and one League Cup right? And that UEFA thing against CSKA (but lost the bigger one vs. Sao Paulo even). No league titles for 30 years, and usually we don't even come close.

So yeah, if we really did win some / lose some, I could understand all this 'chin up be proud' stuff. Enjoy the ride and all that. **** it if you give me a PL title I don't care if we finish 6th the year after, it's a rollercoaster.

But the way we keep losing important stuff it just feels terrible every year.

I know what you mean but every week I speak to a Grimsby supporter in my team. It makes me glad I've supported Liverpool from the off. At least we look like we can win something.

Of course I'm old enough to remember us winning everything so I'm probably a bit more phlegmatic. It still hurts though.
