I think it's the Arsenal stuff, the racist stuff and biting stuff for me that did it. Yup, that's it.Originally posted by Zapater View PostDon't get the Suarez hating at all. He pretty much single handedly prevented this club from going to a very very dark place. Definitely one of the best, if not the best Liverpool players I've ever seen. Some people have very short memories. He didn't do an Adebayor and antagonise us. He plays the game hard and is a winner. Wish he still played for us.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

So three games over the season means we are bottlers? Tough standards there. I think there's a difference between being bottlers and failing now and again.Originally posted by Patricks_Berger View Post0-0 old Trafford, 1-1 home to Leicester when Man City dropped points, 0-0 Goodison. To win the tie by 4 clear goals we'd have to be near perfect in decision-making and execution around the box in order to create chances, and near perfect in converting chances (assuming we can create enough chances). Just can't see it happening, especially with the unreliability and glory-hunting of certain players.

I don’t disagree.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostOf course it's not all on Gomez. But their second I could see coming. ****ing playing balls out to Gomez who then can't do anything with it in tight situations like trent can is asking for trouble. It's not Gomez's fault, he's out of position. Stop giving him the ball so often.
Anyway. It is what it is. I've just driven back at break neck speed from Northampton to make the game and I'm ****ing tired.
In retrospect Trent would have been the right choice. But at 0-1 with us dominating for 25 mins of the second half I thought Klopp had it perfect.
It’s easy to look for a scapegoat after a loss (**** it’s been our second defeat of 2019 and it’s May) but Om not so sure one exists. We made the chances we didn’t take them, that’s not something you can typically accuse this team of.
I think the team and squad will continue to improve it won’t be our last semi final.
Based on last nights match this is effectively the final.Modifying post.

This is ridiculous.Originally posted by Patricks_Berger View Post0-0 old Trafford, 1-1 home to Leicester when Man City dropped points, 0-0 Goodison. Missing the chance to go 10 points clear. Only team to lead the PL at Christmas but not win x3
We can only possibly be 17 points better off this season. You can only have one winner in sport, that doesnt mean everyone else is a bottler/loser.
Anyway, it’s moot - Leicester will get a draw with City.Modifying post.

On another night we could have scored 5 tonight....we had the clear cut chances and the opportunities. Anything is possible at Anfield we are about 1000/1 now but as Lloyd Christmas said......so you mean we have a chanceOriginally posted by Exiled_red View Post
We almost certainly need to score 5 to go through
Messi’s freelick killed us, what a ****ing goal, he is such a difference maker when it REALLY matters. It’s Barca, at the Nou Camp, Messi in peak form and we got nothing from the ref - of course we didn’t help ourselves with the missed chances.
Gomez wasn’t great but not the cause of the loss, Trent would have had the same struggles defensively and we may have been giving out about him. We lost our composure in the midfield in the second half and didn’t use the ball as well as we could have. One of the lads said it but Salah and Mane missed BIG chances, chances Messi or Ronaldo don’t miss and it mattered. Milner missed a big chance as well......vs Bayern we got them and the momentum swung in our favor.
Two other gripes - our ****ing corners, just aim for VVD ffs. Why we didn’t target Lengelet after he was booked.....we was ripe for a red card.

It doesn't help when the keeper is floating high-balls out to Gomez, allowing opponents time while the ball is wafting in the air to close him down and get a challenge in.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostOf course it's not all on Gomez. Our approach at 1-0 had them worried, they changed tactics and went more negative, if we can get an early goal and get the crowd going next week then we can worry them. I think that we can get a few goals and are capable of beating them by 3, we need to make sure we don't go gung-ho too early and let them get an away goal that would kill the tie.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
