Bizarre. We did have the chances to win that match, watch the highlights if you can bear to.

Origi or Shaqiri would have been better than Wij up front to be honest.

Never mind, it's been a fun old season.

          I hate football at times.

All that effort. We played very well. Missed sitters.

But Klopp again for me has dropped a massive ****ing clanger. Why does he play Gomez at right back? He was ****ing awful. Can't pass at all, ever.

In all our poor results its been when klopp has made a bizarre choice. Sturridge at Utd ffs. Why does he keep doing this?

I think it’s too obvious to blame Gomez. The long period we were on top he was great. Barca played to isolate him. They’d have done the same to Trent. Gomez was 2 v 1 a few times.

Saying that, Robbo was 3 v 1 at the end and he hoovered up. I digress

Ultimately a slightly fortunate second and a Worldie 3rd have skewed the score.

We didn’t deserve to win, but we definitely didn’t deserve 3-0.

If we can score first 20 mins at Anfoeld it might get interesting.

They scored 2 half chances and a freak free kick. We missed 2 or 3 clear cut chances. That Milner one and Salah at the end were absolute shockers. This game would have been perfect for Naby, so his injury was a major blow. You can't miss good chances and concede half chances then expect something. Not sure how the manager ****ed us.

I know it's not popular to say but this can happen at the latter stages of the CL when the teams are so good. We've done it to other teams when we've been rampant despite them being excellent teams (thinking about when we put 4 past Madrid). Barcelona are still a brilliant team with brilliant players - it seems people don't acknowledge that anymore. They've battled through tough games in the League this season, they are fighters it hasn't been the fluency as before.

Regardless, it's over - we're not coming back from this. Hopefully City can do us a favour. Either way it's a great season and we've got a cracking team. The improvement from last season is vast and should be recognised.
Correct. We didn't lose 3-0 because of the right-back's performance.

You Chris when not in ultra over the top hyper bollocks about our players, post more truths than anyone. I completely agree.

I know everyone will say Istanbul etc but this is different.

Need to focus on Newcastle now and hope Leicester can do us a favor. The Premier League was always our priority.

It's been a good ride and we will have more in the years to come but it's over for this year.

Same. He's never pretended to be anything other than what he is. If you loved him for it then I think you accept it now.

Yup. Get rid of Origi and offset the transfer fee on someone like Werner. Just give him Sturridge's wages (probably the only reason we didn't sign a striker). No excuses in the summer.

We almost certainly need to score 5 to go through
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

By all means disagree, but this.

Gomez wasn't the culprit for a heavy loss today, but largely because we weren't clinical and they were. Messi won the game for them. As simple as that. Complaining about a few decisions won't change the fact that we should have have scored 2 or 3 clear cut chances which would have changed the complexion of the game completely.
You see, you now add a little bit more flavour instead of your one or two liners to make it look like there's a real person behind this. It's an incredible accomplishment. I'd like to meet your creator one day. I might have to deck them but they need to know how well they've done in any case. Remarkable.

Don’t see us doing it though. Klopp has already said he thinks we won’t do big business this summer; and no doubt we’ll be in a similar position next year.
