Had our chances and very unlucky for their second goal, the 3rd was amazing tbh and you just have to say fair enough,
Needed the away goal tbh and we didn’t get it, can’t see us not conceding at home against them sadly.
Gomez was poor tonight, really poor but as a first game back this wasn’t probably the best one to pick.

Yeah.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostThis has got to be the most frustrating season ever. We've had the best season in decades but yet again it looks like we will come away with **** all
I'm absolutly gutted and feels like we are cursed.
It hurts.
3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Go on and do one.Originally posted by Venton View PostI still think you're some weird social media bot created to cause foment. You're too consistent to be human.
By all means disagree, but this.
Gomez wasn't the culprit for a heavy loss today, but largely because we weren't clinical and they were. Messi won the game for them. As simple as that. Complaining about a few decisions won't change the fact that we should have have scored 2 or 3 clear cut chances which would have changed the complexion of the game completely. Are we winning?

Bobby clearly wasn't risked. As for Gomez, he was the right choice. He played very well.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

This is very true. The results have been coming this season with players staying fit, but when it comes to the crunch again, it's still the same situation. Origi is not a CL semi final player, and neither is Sturridge anymore, and this was clear 18 months ago.Originally posted by Chris View PostGot ****ed over in a CL Final because we had no attacking depth then did **** all in the summer about it. And here we are at the Nou Camp with an out of form central midfielder as a false 9. We really don't help ourselves sometimes.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Not sure how this is Klopp's fault. Nothing was tactically horrendous which cost us. I agree that Gomez starting at fullback was a weird one, but the goals conceded weren't blatant errors from him.
They scored 2 half chances and a freak free kick. We missed 2 or 3 clear cut chances. That Milner one and Salah at the end were absolute shockers. This game would have been perfect for Naby, so his injury was a major blow. You can't miss good chances and concede half chances then expect something. Not sure how the manager ****ed us.
I know it's not popular to say but this can happen at the latter stages of the CL when the teams are so good. We've done it to other teams when we've been rampant despite them being excellent teams (thinking about when we put 4 past Madrid). Barcelona are still a brilliant team with brilliant players - it seems people don't acknowledge that anymore. They've battled through tough games in the League this season, they are fighters it hasn't been the fluency as before.
Regardless, it's over - we're not coming back from this. Hopefully City can do us a favour. Either way it's a great season and we've got a cracking team. The improvement from last season is vast and should be recognised.

Ye they lost a 3 goal lead last season, but roma did have an away goal we need 3 just to get extra time and sadly think barca will score.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostIt's crazy but we played well and were probably the better side until they got the 2nd, at which point we lost our heads going for the away goal and could have lost by 5 or 6, 2-0 wouldn't have been great but 3-0 is a hell of alot worse. I'd love to believe that we can do it, Barcelona lost a 3 goal lead in the 2nd leg against Roma last year so it's possible but very very difficult. If only we could have taken one of those chances...
We need to sort our heads out and get 3 points against Newcastle on Saturday, we can't afford and hangover from this otherwise our season is as good as over.
