All that I take from that is that it is a change we have made since our experience last year where we went out early.Originally posted by Tee View PostSpurs have been in Madrid since Wednesday, we only went out today. Any significant advantage or disadvantages in that?

Major disadvantage is that some scally will have had more time to locate their hotel and do a firework display at 3am, and a full fire evauation at 5am.Originally posted by Tee View PostSpurs have been in Madrid since Wednesday, we only went out today. Any significant advantage or disadvantages in that?removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

If I was in the same the hotel for three nights before the final, I think I'd be crawling up the walls. You wouldn't do it for a normal game (normal games are generally too close each other to allow such things), so sticking to a normal routine as far possible makes perfect sense to me.Originally posted by Tee View PostSpurs have been in Madrid since Wednesday, we only went out today. Any significant advantage or disadvantages in that?Oh I don't know.

I feel really relaxed. It's probably the long wait for the game. I'm fed up, but, as I was saying to a Spurs season ticket holder, who isn't handling it too well, I've been alive for 3 Champions League Finals involving Liverpool, with the 4th one tomorrow.
For some reason, I felt really snobbish around the Spurs fan. This is his first time (oh aye), but I've seen it before. I know the drill around all these romantic articles, and documentaries on TV in the build-up to a major final. He's never had that.
Saying that, come kick-off, I'll be screaming for our players to give Spurs a serious dismembering.

It’s weird. When we were ****, for years we had none of this... 2005 feels like a long time ago.
Supporting the team when they are **** is in some ways easy. There is plenty to complain about, plenty to suggest, plenty to argue about. But there are few nerves.
This is different. This is about a group of players and a manager we love getting what we feel we deserve. My own personal gratification is miles down the list of what’s important.
I really want it for the players and manager. And then to have a game and a team where years from now we will say, remember the 2019 team, that win on Madrid. That was something.
The thought of these lads getting **** all after the effort they have put in so far is too much to contemplate. The thought of going again fromsquare one with the media spouting all the same old **** is too much.
It’s why tomorrow night feels so big. Win. And who knows where it will take us?Modifying post.
