It was a car crash alright.

We did brilliantly to get anyone to take him on. The Benzema bounce was something if you saw an U18 goalie do you'd hammer the guy. The long distance shot parry was the icing on the cake.

To be fair, Mignolet must have been thinking "how the **** didn't I start this game"

Have had the CL final out of my mind since the end of the league season. Just need to chill out a bit and not get caught up in the build up......3 weeks seemed too long.

That was working until last night when I re-watched the Barca game and some other youtube videos. Jesus - this time next week will be painful.......

My son has got into football since last year so we watched the highlights back recently.

A few things stick in the mind. It was 0-0 when Karius made the first mistake.
We did well to get back into the game. Then Worldie, then another howler.

Also. The foul on Salah (again at 0-0) remains one of the most sneaky and underhand I have ever seen.

What we should take from it though, is we went toe to toe with a team experienced in winning the CL. No team could have survived the two blunders and the Karous mistakes.

We are better and stronger, meaner this season playing a team without experience on any level of a major final.

Anything can happen obviously and don’t rule out them taking flight any time they get in the box (hope VAR helps) but...

If we play to our best, we win.

I pity Karius and I think it was a genuine concussion. Shame it was totally missed when he was elbowed in the head.

                        I dunno.

I think that explanation helped him have a career going forward.

                        Maybe he did...

He had previous error wise... he had question around his temperament.

Karius had made mistakes, like any keeper, but he'd never done anything like that before.

What he does for the first goal in particular was almost inexplicable. Until you take into account what the expert in head injuries said about the effects of concussion.

Yeah the club made Karuis' assessment public to help him, but that doesn't make it a less valid or likely explanation for what happened.

Ramos did a complete number on us, both in throwing Salah out of the game and elbowing Karius in the head.

No doubting that being elbowed in the head by ramosthecunt was a massive factor.
Karius never really looked the big powerful dominant keeper we needed, i cant see anyone trying to intimidate BECKER the same way, he'd snap their spine
