Look at the footage, his foot was flopping around, facing the wrong way - all the tendons and ligaments will be ****ed. He’s in for an operation this week, hopefully it’s not a season ending injury but I suspect it will be.
He was starting to look really influential in midfield as well. Brutal timing.
Even if the injury itself only keeps him out for a few months, there is still the rehab and getting back up to fitness etc he'd essentially need another preseason, I would imagine the best case scenario would be him making a few appearances at the end of the season. But even by the standards of bad injuries we've had in the last few years this looked a nasty one. I'd be surprised if he plays again this season, hopefully it's nowhere near as bad as it looks...The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I didn't think much of it at first but on replay, you can see the raised trailing leg smash into the back of Elliott. Also the leading foot is also raised which is also potentially dangerous but wasn't close to Elliott.Originally posted by SB View PostYeah I’m not sure what match they were watching. In real time it didn’t seem that bad first time I saw it but Mo’s response made me realize the severity of it.Was muß, das muß.

Some people seem to still have the idea that if you get the ball it's a clean tackle. For me it's a horror tackle from first viewing, the leg that he doesn't get the ball with is always going through the back of Elliott, he jumps in and it's from behind. It's as clear a red as you will see, I can't believe pundits are still claiming it's a good tackle or that it's the way he fell and the Leeds guy was unlucky to be sent off.Originally posted by HamboCairns View PostSome are saying the tackle was clean, um, this doesn't look clean to me -

Where's this from?Originally posted by baitman View PostDouble break above the ankle
They were saying it was a dislocation straight after the game, Klopp said the meds put it back in on the pitch. If it was a break they'd have said that straight away
