Oh yes, I would love him to stay - but if Slot is going to be tight fisted when it comes to rotation, it wouldn't be any good for him unless he steps up a level.
    Really?

I just don't see where he gets minutes if he stays, he struggled for gametime last year, we have strengthened AM role with Wirtz so he isn't just competing with Szoboszlai now, on the right side Salah will be away for a month but there is also Frimpong and Szoboszlai who could play there in Salah's absence.

I like him, but unless there is an injury crisis I don't see where he gets regular minutes, unless he improves or we chance system.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Aye, would be madness for him to stay. He said a few months ago that Liverpool was his club and he would stay to fight for his place, but this at the end of the season, he talked about considering his options, so he must have known Wirtz was coming.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

            Elliot to Brighton
            Pedro and Jota to Newcastle
            Isaak to us.

It’s mad, if he was at Brighton we’d be thinking he’s a 50m player off the back of tge u-21s. I guess Slot just doesn’t fancy him and we’ll get a good fee

We have a midfield full of £50m+ players, unfortunately for him.

I think he is too small and too slow for what we need and he deserves to go where he will play more often. We’ll get good money, a sell on, a buy back and he’ll get a chance

I don’t think it’s just the pace he lacks but he doesn’t seem very mobile or agile. Back in the day it wouldn’t have been an issue but with the pace of the game it stops him being able to really show his creativity.

I don’t know if that terrible ankle injury changed him but while he wasn’t rapid he wasn’t slow and was more mobile.

People were ****ting all over Gravenberch not too long ago. A good run and a definined position in the team and he was able to thrive.

I guess it wont be here though. I dont think Slot gave him a fair chance, with only two league starts at the end of the season when the rest of the team were knackered or checked out. He still returned good numbers despite limited chances. Wirtz is obviously an upgrade, but it would have been nice to keep Elliott too. Saying that he would still only be third choice, so its probably best we cash in if Slot isnt going to use him.

I guess youngsters are a bit of a luxury when you are trying to compete at the top. Success has a cost too, I guess. Its just a shame to see Quansah, Elliott and Kelleher (plus Nat Phillips and Trent) all have to leave to get games, but thats life. Its going to be even harder for the kids to break through now. Even Bradley may struggle to get in with Frimpong likely tearing it up.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Two things with Harvey, lacked pace and dwelled on the ball ala Curtis - Apart from that bloody gifted and I agree he didn't get a chance under Slot
I make no apologies, this is me

I think another problem for him is the position. His best role seemed to be as a wide forward/right winger. He looked great there early on and his loan with Blackburn he was fantastic in that wide role. The problem is a guy called Mo Salah.

I think this is why Klopp tried to get him into midfield where he just doesn’t work. The defensive side of his games is exposed as is his physical side. Out wide he can manage that better.

Maybe that move and whatever changes came with it disrupted everything.
