If he has a problem with the game and the way it's going that's fair enough. I don't think many people have a problem with that, many people in this thread (including myself) felt that the pen was soft and would prefer it to be given.

But it makes absolutely no sense to vilify a single player out of nowhere. Has he not watched football for the last 15+ years? If he has such a problem with it he should be going to FIFA, referees and other relevant authorities. Players are going down because they've been taught that's what to do to win a pen/FK - it's part and parcel of the game, I hate it myself, but it is the standard set across the board. If things are to change it starts with the officiating, players won't go down because they won't be rewarded by it, however in the current climate there is a system (as extremely inefficient as it is) to correct blatant mistakes. That type of contact is constantly given as a foul in every league in the world.

Absolutely ****ing ridiculous to point out Salah. That Man Utd and Newcastle one a few weeks ago was 100% worse. Lewis hardly touched the player, the ref didn't call it in real time, then reversed his own decision when he looked at the monitor. They should be getting the blame. Whatever this has to do with Styles or other footballers from 1966 is completely irrelevant. I'm not sure it has anything to do with the game today in any capacity and why their 'honour', 'legacy' or anything else should be preserved. What an utter ****.

      As expected absolute drivel!

You could probably find 10 worse dives over just this weekends fixtures. Completely unfair how Salah continually gets singled out for diving, and hard to see it as anything other than casual racism.

Look no further than Englands main man Harry Kane. He's even admitted in the past he's felt a touch and goes down.

But Kane said: "I felt contact and I went down. I'm not going to jump out of the way because it's football."

          The double standards are ridiculous.

I'd be more inclined to call it blatant racism than casual. These things are always associated with foreigners, particularly those of colour. Even though English players also do it, it takes a lot for them to be pulled up on it and when they are, they are usually also players of colour, like Young for example.

              Any article that starts:

"I am a Liverpool supporter but..."

              Modifying post.

Ffs Cas - bull**** article and the agenda is ridiculous. The amount of pens Salah should have vs what he gets in massively skewed. The one vs Villa was as clear as you could see and refs are now subconsciously biased for this media narrative.

The amount of times Salah gets pulled and dragged but stays strong is a joke - unless you go down there is no chance of a pen. Compare to Kane and his dangerous backing in to players mid air (red card in rugby btw) and his diving after kicking the ball past an opponent. I just don’t get how supposed football experts don’t call him out for that.

Mo’s pen vs West Ham was because he was booted in the foot - as clear as you get ffs

I can't be arse to read the article, the headline is enough, if they want to make comparisons withe England 1966 side surely it is the players following in their footsteps that is the better comparison.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Are pundits so dumb... if you're watching a replay of someone getting kicked in the penalty area and he was about to spin around... doesn't it make complete sense that there would be a fraction of a second delay in the reaction and the unnatural motion when trying to turn at the same time... jesus, I thought these ****wits had played the game. It's like you don't make a decision on a still photograph, you look at the build up play and event in both live and slow-mo...

Pundits and media journos today are ****ing dire... they've got herd immunity in the fact they're all thick as the next one.

I've said in my other posts in the General forum. Pure and utter 1980s racism. A lot of these people need to stop taking the knee in this country.

Chooses Henderson in his team of the week, dedicates the first paragraph having a go at Mo Salah -

Jordan Henderson: I didn't think it was a Liverpool penalty at the time and I still don't. I have criticised Mohamed Salah in the past for going down in the box when not touched. I've no doubt contact was made by West Ham's Arthur Masuaku but as far as contact sports go, that was no foul. However it's the referee's opinion that counts and Kevin Friend thought otherwise.

Jordan Henderson played a captain's part in pulling Liverpool through a difficult fixture against the Hammers on Saturday. It was Henderson's controlled pass to Xherdan Shaqiri which resulted in Diogo Jota scoring Liverpool's winner.

I wonder if Henderson might have a gentle word with Salah to remind him that he has placed himself among the Liverpool greats - and not to spoil it with cheap nonsense like diving.

                            Press agenda

Maybe driven by the fa and premier league cunts because of all the talk of a break away league.

Refs will be giving us even less, if that's even possible
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Callum Wilson: I'm not sure what's going on at Everton at the moment. They started the season as if they had a point to prove and they probably did. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has made it clear he can play in this league, and James Rodriguez's ability was never in doubt. While their performance against Newcastle was marginally better than their shocker at Southampton, they still look off the pace.

Meanwhile, Callum Wilson's arrival at St James' Park has been a slow burner in comparison but has given Newcastle a cutting edge, especially at home. Wilson's craftiness to draw a penalty from Everton's Andre Gomes was astute and so was the conversion.
Foreigner Salah is cheap for going down after contact, but Englishman Wilson is crafty and astute.
