Yeah Phillips distribution wasn’t great but the midfield could have helped him out a bit better.

We're in an away slump over an 8 game average. You said that yourself.

I agree with your second point. It's actually a bit remarkable our CB injuries haven't hurt us more but it's something we absolutely need to address in January.

This year is going to be like 2 years ago. It’s going to be a battle.

We were a few bounces of the ball away from a good away win.

We could be clear, but, there isn’t a team we’d swap positions with.
Said it at start of season it's going to be a weird one. Going to the wire this one, maybe we have been spoiled. Some dire stuff from us recently though from teams we should be smashing. One slip up against dross can happen but 4 of them is reason for frustration.

We're top of the league ffs
There’s a lot of frustratiion o life right now. Watching us win is one of the few enjoyable things and has been proper escapism at times..

We aren’t miles clear and we could be, but, It could definitely be worse.

On the plus side, Thiago looks sublime. Cant wait to see him play more.

Also, we are in a slump- we’ve dropped points to a handful of **** teams in the last few weeks
Thiago back and winning about 5 headers and being all round excellent in 20 mom's is a positive. Why we by-passed him in injury time was baffling, but I'm sure that will come.

The thing is - the league is absolutely there for the taking. I know we are prudent when it comes to buying but it would be negligent not to get a CB in the window......it could ultimately cost us no 20

Definitely and there are loads of reasons why we aren’t. Not only don’t we have the crowd to feed off, we don’t have the opposition fans getting frustrated to give us energy either. It’s really weird without any fan noise at all.

Other than Fulham, where we were bad, I don’t think we’ve been awful in those other draws.

The thing that’s annoying is we could be miles clear.

I'd love to know how some of you watch our games. Is it half whilst reading a book or doing some other ****?

I can't be disturbed. I'm 100% glued to the screen. Replays irritate me as I'm missing the game. I don't want them. They're unwarranted.

Tonight has been all I've looking forward to since West brom. I'm sitting watching intently, kicking every ball from the sofa, desperate for us to win, ideally by playing well since it is supposed to be entertainment after all, the more we struggle the more I get frustrated. Every time salah loses the ball I'm swearing. I can't help it. I just want us to win. Now I'm angry until Monday. Which will probably be more of the same. So shoot me.

There’s not going to be a centre back who’s going to come and sort out our problems straight away I’m afraid unless we buy a clone of Virgil. Let’s see what we do but I’m not putting my hopes up.
                    Are we winning?

He clipped a ball over the defence to (I think) Trent running through that was just filth. He plays that quick first time ball round the corner so effectively. I think once he’s bedded in he will get some assists.

His distribution isn't the main worry - it's his servere lack of pace that is the big concern, especially considering the acres of space we leave between the defence and the goalkeeper.

We need to freshen up the team somehow and I'd start at Southampton with Thiago, Gini and Hendo in the middle, and leave one of the front three out for Shaq. Jota being out is such a cruel blow ffs.

Every game players are allowed to cling to Mane with impunity. And just before this the keeper had both arms around his leg but he almost wriggled free. Slowed him down immensely.

It's weird we've got him and Rhys coming through when neither of them have pace. You'd have thought it would be a prerequisite these days.
