The problem with the penalty is that from one angle it clearly looked like Trent kicked his foot up to trip him. The other angles showed otherwise, but if the ref only saw that angle then I understand it.

Let's not forget that they were rightly 1 up and we were pretty limp to be honest, no fire at all from us, just as it was in the first game. We deserved to lose that.

Klopp doesn't seem to be able to take us out of this slump.

Surely the VAR official has to tell him to look at it from more than one angle, although he shouldn't need to be told that surely?

Absolutely convinced that our involvement in the potential breakaway league talks pissed off the bigiwgs at the PL and we are seeing the effect of that. Over the course of a season these decisions are meant to even out, but when they don't it stinks.

No, but these types of decisions have been endemic this season and they have cost us in other games.

That one tonight puts it beyond doubt for me, we’re getting ****ed.

Coupled with the decisions the mancs get in their favour there is very little room for doubt.

That aside, I still can't believe how predictable it all is. Before the game if you'd have told me Everton would score early, we'd pass it about for 80 mins then be on the wrong end a refereeing decision..... We stink.

Philosophically, let's get all this cheating out of the way this season. And the injury jinxes. We weren't going to win the league even with ref decisions going in our favour because quite frankly we are ****.

Maybe a season out of CL will hurt us financially but also focus on number 20 alone.

The 'bigwigs' are telling the refs to shaft us?

Not a directive, more like maybe there was a meeting at some point, normal stuff, people talking and then comments like 'these cunts are too big for their boots', and once that's out there the decisions are made by the refs based on that bias.

The Goodison derby, for example. Robbed of a perfectly good winner. We'd still be 3 points ahead of them if not for that

Was it Clattenburg that said just a couple of weeks ago words to the effect that it might have been true that United got favourable decisions in the Ferguson era but not so much now?

PL bigwigs absolutely have said the desirability of different winners. Makes their product a more attractive proposition.

We played better for 10 minutes in the second half. We were limp throughout considering its the derby. No excuses, we didn't deserve anything from that game, and unless we start accepting this instead of making excuses, we won't turn the corner.

They had a few very good chances too.

The var mess didn’t cost us the game. It’s confirmed the loss but that was likely anyway.

Need to have a real rethink the rest of this season in the league as there are too many not performing
