If he commits then semenyo has two to play in for one on one's, the issue was that konate was left so exposed. Can't blame him for a 4 on 2.

That goal was clearly on one of the midfielders that should have been holding back for a break. Endo more than anyone else for me as Jones and Szob were rightly being attack minded in that move. One tit for another.

If Semenyo had two to pick from to play in for one on ones then Konate should have made him choose between them and execute the pass. Instead he backed off and gave him all the room he needed to shoot on goal.Originally posted by BG1973 View PostIf he commits then semenyo has two to play in for one on one's, the issue was that konate was left so exposed. Out of about 100 appearances for Bournemouth Semenyo has 7 assists. If Konate had forced him to pass there’s a reasonable possibility he would have got it wrong. It was a good shot but he was under little pressure as Konate had just run away from him creating all the space he could want.Originally posted by BG1973 View PostSo he was ****ed if he did and ****ed if he didn't then.
Yey, let's blame him then.Never knowingly optimistic

If he attenpts a challenge semenyo plays someone in one on one for a simple finish. If he doesnt there is still a chance he can block it and nake shot maybe harder. Like VVD on vs Halland last season. At that point it's %s and I think he did the best he could.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostAt some point you've got to make a challenge, and that point is before the guy scores.

He has to be in close proximity to do effect the outcome. Truth he wasn’t, too passive, that’s the issueOriginally posted by BG1973 View PostIf he attenpts a challenge semenyo plays someone in one on one for a simple finish. I'm not.Originally posted by BG1973 View PostNope. Get too close it's an easy ball in.
Agreeing to disagree
you can take everything as a defender even if you don't get the ball. Not every occasion calls for it but this one did. Sometimes you don't get the opportunity to make a decisive action to get the ball/man but that's nearly 60yds of running, he had it.
He had a bad game, it happens. He wasn't the only one to fault for the goal but he could've done better IMHO.

he's becoming a problem
If we sign Guehi, he goes straight into the team over this airhead."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

He was good in parts last night but when he’s bad he’s a liability . I agree if we get Guehi he comes straight in. We’re leaving it late though.Originally posted by Harv View Posthe's becoming a problem

It’s really strange. He just seems to have dropped his concentration, intensity and decision making levels about 5%. But he is costing us goals.
If Gomez was fitter or Leoni not just through the door I think Konate would get dropped.
If it’s about his contract then probably worth getting rid of his head isn’t in it.Modifying post.
