No we didn’t, we were bidding all summer, didn’t want our pants pulled down for a player out of contract in 12 months, they dragged it on til the last day to appease their fans and finally accepted an exceptional offer then pulled the plug because West Ham did them a dirty by taking a player who had all but signed on the dotted line.
