He would have at the very least scissor locked, taken down Henderson, much like Pickford did VVD.

I missed the game yesterday.
Looking at the incidents now, I would expect to see VAR rule first goal out.
The player gets nowhere near the ball, makes no contact with it, and clearly impedes the keeper. No goal these days.
And the tackle on Hendo is studs up, off the ground and out of control.
Red card all day long.
We might have still lost, but, the first goal is crucial in an away game, and playing with 10 would have been a challenge for the WHU.
I actually think City suffer from this sort of roughhousing away from home so it is something we will need to adapt to.Last edited by Buzzo; 08-11-21, 01:04 PM.Modifying post.

Someone raised the point yesterday that after the first goal you'd have thought Klopp, Henderson, Alisson would have changed things up at corners.
Don't leave it up to Alisson to move the defender out the road. VVD or Matip should have been in on top of the defender for any further corners.
Poor game management from us

We are normally good at reacting quickly to things like this, but this time we NEVER reacted to it. They were just breakaway merchants the corners apart and, although we were very sluggish, we'd then still have won.

Surely though it will be the standard issue of the last season or so. We suffer the ****tines and the rule is clarified for future incidentsOriginally posted by baitman View PostOur goalie is going to have players standing all over him on corners now.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It wasn't behind him at all, he's running directly onto it. It was a ****ing sitter.Originally posted by BG1973 View PostBecause the ball was slightly behind him when he made contact so difficult to direct. Neither a useless ****, or an idiot. Mane had a good game and was unfortunate not to score.
The **** Fabinho got on here the other week for a much much much harder chance and Mane's getting away with this without any mention of how crap he is at finishing guilt edge chances.

Thats on him for poor judgement then isn't it. There was nothing odd about the cross, it was a perfect ball in and there's no excuses with not at the very least putting that on target"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
