Forget about it. Newcastle aren't taking any points from that game. City will be over their CL downer after us dropping points tonight. We had a great opportunity to pile on even more misery tonight but let them off the hook. They won't exactly be buzzing but they'll be extra motivated knowing they can open up a 3 point gap and overtake our goal difference.
Do you know what. If we don't win it we don't win it. I'm immensely proud of this team, we've won a cup already. In the final of the FA Cup and CL. I'd take any of that if you'd have asked me at the start of the season.
I'm still hopeful City will drop points before the season is up, someone will spring a shock against them I'm sure.
Would mean we're as we were before this weekend. Would absolutely take that.
No it isn't, if we'd have won and City drew, we'd still be top. Now City can get away with a draw. That draw would probably the only points City drop from here on in, so opportunity blown.

Plus the GD is down to two..
Yes it is. We were a point behind going into this round. If City also draw then that’s still the case…
If we had won and City then win as expected, then same again too.
The reason we lost that game was Trent going AWOL when Kane had the ball prior to their goal. I could forgive him this if he had went to mark Son instead but he didn’t, he just wandered about in our box like a massive div and let Son have a tap in.

Yep. That was strange. Left Kane in so much space, turned his back on him.

Actually, just watching it back and it was a defensive cluster**** which led to the goal - unfair to apportion all the blame on Trent.
Konate and VVD both in no-man’s land when Kane played the ball to Sessignon. At this point, one of should have stayed with Kane and the other moved off to cover Son
Didn’t happen though, for some reason VVD moves toward Sessignon leaving Son totally unmarked for an easy tap in, criminal at this level.
