Some say he lost an aerial challenge to Warwick Davis once....

I think he is low 60s for win rate which isn’t bad given his age. VVD, Ibou and Matip before them were dominant in the air. Gomez is the worse if the lot but his numbers weren’t bad last season, I think because he played as a full back it inflated his win rate

Looked much better last night. More confident and showed signs that last seasons form might be starting to come back. It would be a massive boost to have that Quansah available for the rest of the season.

Yeah, one misplaced pass aside, I thought he looked very good again last night. Very assured and dominant throughout.

I think the club have faith in him long term and it looks like Slot is managing his development carefully.

Also, he had Bradley doing his share of the defending outside him.

Apart from the part where Bradley got skinned, let the cross in which led to the goal

If that had been Trent …

It felt like most of the attacks came down that side, don’t know if they deliberately targeted the two young players but they worked well together to deal with most of it.

At least Bradley was there, chasing to challenge for the ball, not drifting around like a shell-shocked sulky midfielder wannabee

Trent's 26 and has more experience, Bradley not so much and so you could put the mistake down to that. Most experienced defenders would have conceded a corner or put their foot through it.

[James Pearce] Liverpool planning for next season with Quansah on board. Not for sale amid talk of Newcastle renewing their interest. Big part of Slot’s plans. Newcastle valued him at £50m last summer & since then he’s signed new contract & broken into England set-up.

Surely he was only valued at £50m for PSR fraud reasons of some kind as part of a deal for Gordon.
