Bit of a rollercoaster already but for a team rebuilding we have done well overall and are well placed.
No real idea where we will finish but there is potential for a good season there for sure.
It is quite refreshing to watch us play again and although it is still a work in progress I'm excited to see where we can get to.

We’re allowed 17 non-homegrown players. I don’t think they’re divided into European/non European.Originally posted by Angryred View PostWhat is our quota regarding non-European places / UK places as not sure we have room for the likes of Andre with our signing of Endo or does Endo have an European passport now after so long in Germany?
If I remember rightly, we finished the summer window with room for 1 more.
Endo took a non homegrown slot. Gravenberch didn’t because of his U21 status..

think we've done ok. The is obvious deficiencies there and teams have and will exploit that but we've done better than I thought and have been royally ****ed over in the process.

The other thing is that we have played Chelsea, Brighton, Newcastle, Spurs all away from home. And Wolves away who are tricky against the bigger sides especially at home (as City can testify). West Ham and Villa at Anfield aren't exactly gimmes either. Bournemouth at home is the only easy game we've haf out of the 8. And we got ****ed at spurs we should have 20 points.
Spurs meanwhile have played United, Us and Arsenal. Got lucky at arsenal and ****in haunted against us. Apart from that theyve played a load of ****e. Luton, Sheffield United, Burnley, Bournemouth.
Arsenal too. Bournemouth, palace, fulham, everton, forest at home.
And also City.......they've played forest, fulham, Sheffield United, burnley.......
So in reality we are in really good spot to be honest. Our next 4 league games would be great to win them all and hopefully go to the ethiad with them under pressure

Great stuff, so a slot is kept open for Andre then!... He's gonna be key for us as a specialist DM just as Fabinho was. I've been following him & Fluminese since the summer. They seem to come alive in the COPA but crap in the league, bit like us under Rafa in the first season. A lot of Fluminese attacking play is dictated by Andre winning the ball back & switching the play, they get themselves ready when Andre wins the ball as such a smooth passer & reads the transitions in play well. Seen some of the transitions, it's impressive, Andre wins the ball, passes to the nearest teammate, they hold until Andre finds space so they pass back to him so he becomes playmaker & sees the spaces in front, makes the pass & wingers/forwards are at the ready to take advantage.Originally posted by Mark79 View PostWe’re allowed 17 non-homegrown players. Been a very solid start to the season all things considered.
Though I see we yet again have the 12:30 slot after the international break.
What is that now? 13 or 14 times?
With the next highest team being on 6 or 7.
Stops looking random when one team gets the early kick offs twice as often as the next highest team on the list.
Rest of the list are all on a similar number with us miles out in front.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

great post and you would imagine the understanding should only improve as the season goes on. We are lacking quality personnel in specific areas which may not be able to be remedied until January but finding a way to get the best out of the current midfield is priority imo. I would like us to ditch the inverted ****e and just go to the flat back four but it seems we are in that for the long haul. We do look great at times but we also look fragile at times and these both seem to happen in nearly every game. There is certainly potential there but the balance is just off imo.

I really hope we’ve got some sort of agreement in place with them then as other scouts will be watching him too plus the price could go up for a Copa winner
