Interesting tactical analysis from John Richardson, does a really good job of highlighting how we completely nullified KDB after the first 15 mins

I love that our team worked them out and adapted.

We were poor for the first 15 but then we nullified Stones by going long and bypassing their midfield. From there we bolstered the midfield by going narrow which brought Elliott and Diaz closer to the midfield three. With Nunez being so mobile, we had no issues moving up the pitch to compliment the attack.

One thing that is helping with all these in games tweaks is how versatile this group of players are. Don’t know if it was by design to have so many players who can play multiple positions but we haven’t had that before. Bobby wouldn’t be as good out wide while Nunez and Jota are.

If you look at just Elliot and Gomez both have played in three positions in just one game. The front three can shift positions and still be just as effective as can the midfield.

And I haven’t seen it mentioned but Quansah being comfortable playing right or left side CB seems very impressive for someone so young. Don’t CB’s usually not just prefer but struggle playing one side compared to the other?

I don't want to keep going on about the officials and the Doku/MacAllister incident, but I am baffled as to why the VAR official cleared it so quickly. It was about 20seconds if that, can't have had a chance to look at it from more than one angle or properly in slow mo in that time. It's the last minute of the game in a massive game in the title race, why rushthe decision? Surely you give yourself time to look at it and if you aren't 100% sure send the ref to the screen to look at it and ensure you get the decision right.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories but the speed with which that decision was cleared looks very fishy to me particularly with the magnitude of the game and the impact that a decision one way or another has on it.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I know this is Richard Keys so massive pinch of salt but, you could believe this about Oliver as a ref...

Webb will be issuing another meaningless apology to the club no doubt.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

Yeah, especially when the reason they gave for sticking with the onfield decision was that Doku was first to the ball. No he fecking wasn't! Use the technology you bunch of fecking halfwits

Anyway, just been watching Cantwells match review which is good again

It was widely reported that he told a VAR official not to send him to the monitor to review a descision; pretty sure it was a Forest game from last season.

Keys is a ****, but on this occasion not far off the mark; Oliver has gone from being a very good ref to believing the hype & now appears to be above question.

Bull****ting pricks - show the angle that clearly shows Mac gets the ball first. Spurs, Arsenal and City - ribbed in all three by absolute ineptitude and we have technology to help in such situations but they ****ed that as well

                        "Doku definately gets the ball"

                        "Both come in high"

"MacAllister's coming into his space" what does that even mean, MacAllister gets the ball first so surely Doku comes into MacAllister's space.

The ball bounces off mac onto doku's foot, doku does not touch it first.
Webb says mac isn't going for the ball, but it's because he turns away as he's about to get booted in the face.
They are just bending the narrative to suit themselves and back each other up.
                            That's what's clear and obvious...
