Anyone trying to defend the decision has used the ‘Doku got to the ball’ narrative. I’ve watched it in slow motion a couple of times and I don’t think Doku was first to the ball. It looks like it comes off Alexis’s chest and then goes onto Doku’s foot and then off his knee.

It’s absolute horse ****e that VAR didn’t ask the ref to take another look.

I'm still gutted. Really deflated. Proud of the team but ultimately that was our chance to go 4 clear of city.

He's from Donegal. They are still amazed by electric light bulbs up there.

Yep, a draw would be best, a win for City isn't a disaster, but a win for Arsenal would put them in the driving seat.

No it’s not a title decider.

The officiating in this league is shocking, we should have had a pen for this and a pen for the Odegaard handball, 2 big decisions gone against us in 2 of our biggest games. If those are awarded we are 4 points better off and both Man City and Arsenal are a point each worse off. (And that's before you mention any others Spurs in particular). We'd be 5pts ahead of Arsenal and 6 ahead of City now, but other fans claim we get all the decisions
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The only player I felt that wasn’t great was Gakpo….. he’s just so soft and doesn’t have the fight in him, such a pity because he’s a massive unit

Diaz’ finishing was frustrating, but he really gave it 110% it felt like if we were gonna get a goal towards the end, he’d either be involved in it, or else it’d be a set piece. He left it all out there, that’s all we can ask I guess.

Also agreed about gakpo. He’s been really frustrating lately. Just seems to have no urgency. He came on, on the 76th minute today. Should have been non stop sprinting and pressing etc, given he’s only gonna be playing for 20 min. But he just seemed to be jogging about.

What difference does that make? Yes we had enough chances and should have taken one, but that doesn’t mean we weren’t robbed of a penalty at the last kick of the game. It’s not about relying on a judgement call- it was a clear foul, and the ref/var didn’t give it- that’s robbed!

I know what ya mean man- sometimes it’s harder to take the bad result when we played so well and deserved the 3 points. Yaaa it was our chance to go 4 points ahead of them and that would have been massive. But also at half time it was looking like we might end up 2 points behind them. We stay ahead of them, and they have Arsenal next, so hopefully we extend that lead. Just need to dig in and go again. They were the better team at the ethiad, we were the better team at anfield and overall we split the points, so can’t really complain too much.

If we beat Brighton and Arsenal and city draw I reckon we’ll be favorites for the title then- 2 points clear of Arsenal, 3 clear of city and 9 games left….

Imo City will beat arsenal easily.

Everyone thinks their side is hard done by but those two and the Spurs debacle and we're denied 5pts, potentially of course

A 3 goal defeat would help the GD at this stage. I still think Emery has a say in this race and nothing would please him more than beating Arsenal

Towing the party line is becoming predictable as ****. So, former City player, Shay Given doesn't think it's apenalty despite all evidence pointing to it being one

Considering some of the preseason comments about how far we are behind City and Arsenal, imagine if someone told you this would be our starting 11 against City. What would score predictions have been?

                                Kelleher
                                Bradley Quansah VVD Gomez
                                Endo

Look at that back 6 against City's strongest 11, in their best form of the season.

                                It's absolutely bonkers.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
