I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

failed to agree a new contract. Leaves at end of season. Given Hughes previous tenure I'd be surprised if he hasnt been discussed as a potential future manager

Seems he has been linked to a move to Spain due to his family being homesick.

Looks like he’s not going back to Spain.

Get the tapas ready. Role for benitez as some sort of upstairs interpretor?
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

                        Losing Diaz
                        Losing Bradley
                        Losing Leoni
                        Salah has been ****
VVD has dropped off a cliff
                        Macca - ditto above
                        Ibou - ditto above
Isak hasn't got going at all through one reason or another
Frimpong has been so injury prone
Wirtz & Kerkez being thrown in without being given the time to acclimatise to being at LFC
                        Alisson being injured

You simply cant ignore the above - it's been as **** season & Slot has to take more than his share of the blame but there are certain exonerating circumstances

Also Slot has been completely blind to the way the game has become so set piece based & his style of football can't deal with it & he hasn't been able to figure it out - not sure if he ever will tbh

I'd have been happy with a CL spot & hopeful of some silverware at the start of the season - still think we'll struggle for either

You can add not losing Gakpo to that list.

Harsh that, last season Gakpo was played in rotation but still had a good goal/assist output. But I think that losing Diaz and Jota, and Isak being injured, has meant that this season Gakpo has been over-played and is nowhere near as mentally/physically sharp as a result, leading to poor decision making on the field.

Not harsh at all, unless he's been instructed never to pass outside then it's selfish brain dead football.

In general, I don’t like the idea of spending close to 100 mil on a player because even if they have the quality, they are all one bad injury away from never regaining it.

It seems a smarter bet to me to sign more players in a cheaper bracket (40-65mil)

You can still get very very good players for that sort of money.

There isn’t enough pace in the team anymore, particularly in the wide areas
Klopp could sign a player for £10m and mould him in to a worldie, Slot might have a style of play but there no sign that he can make any player better or has an ethos about him. He's the least FSG manager, a really odd appointment

Klopp did that with Robbo certainly. Slot arguably transformed Gravenberch last season, then transformed him back again but still…
                                Never knowingly optimistic
