      how do you know this?

Judging off of Slot's first interview, he is working closely with Hughes on targets. There is no way he wouldn't have a veto on players if he doesn't want them.

I'm oddly zen about this, Slot will have a decent base to start from, if he's a good coach or not we will see pretty soon, compared to other managers I think he's very likable and comes across well. Look forward to him putting his stamp on the team and I'm very positive about him being a very good coach.

Recruitment will be very dull probably, we'll get two or three players in that are less known but fit statistically, but it's going to be interesting to watch how the Edwards experiment plays out.
        * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Think as we have already seen what that looks like, we will be a lot more chilled when it comes to the what ifs transfer wise the next three windows.

Edwards is a proven commodity when it comes to how he does things at LFC and he does have a hell of a good track record.

Look at the hit rate of our transfer when Edwards (and his team) was last having a major say and then look at the hit rate post Edwards.

Think it is fair to say that the more of the transfers under Edwards tended to hit higher highs and quicker than the ones after Edwards left.

That's no knock on Klopp and his own team, just that Edwards seemed to be able to find players that just suited what Klopp wanted to a tee and he did it again and again.

Might well be the fact he could distance himself from the team on a personal level and take a far more analytical view with regards to what players were needed and what players would fit.

Think that we might see one big signing this summer and a few what appear at first to be low key signings. Very confident on all the players bought being good fits though.

Edwards always had a ridiculously high hit rate with players. He almost made Brendan Rogers a PL winning manager. This obviously went to Brendan's head who used his new found clout to demand Beneteke despite him being a terrible fit for our free flowing football at the time and pretty much exhaust our funds (fee + salary).

Klopp is another beast who we have so much to be thankful for. But he wasn't without his own vanities (as are we all) going for the likes of Minamino (if that was him) and of course Nunez.

Hopefully with Slot so far down the pecking order of managers with clout he will just do his duty diligently and without kicking up a fuss on player purchase. At least for the first few years. I'm excited to see the level of players we'll be bringing in that match Coutinho, Sturridge, Robertson, VvD, Alisson, Mane and of course Salah.

I can see a scenario where we sign a DM and a CB and wrap up our business before we've finished friendlies.

I'm really excited to see what Slot builds with his new lego set.

Yes, pick up a couple of nuggets in the Dutch league as there are bound to be a few in there. Dutch players tend to do well in the premier league on the whole.

That Dutch lad Arjan Tchouameni would be worth looking at.

Bring out the Babelcopter to get them over.

Our history is not great qith the Dutch league can only think of Kuyt as a success?

As for dutch Kuyt, VVD & Wijnaldum is not a bad top 3

Sami Hyypiä also arrived from the Eredivisie.

It’s not a particularly strong league these days though, so it’s a big jump up for players moving from here to the top European leagues.

It’d be nice if he had a few new signings standing next to him too.
