I don’t think he’s changed his tune tbh. He was saying that there’s nothing intrinsically wrong with 12:30 kick offs. His complaint about time between European games an PL games is a different point.

Now he's suggesting it is a problem when players have played midweek.

The issue with 12.30s for coaches and players has always been the reduced recovery/prep time when they follow midweek games. So it's not a different point.

I wonder if any other managers have had a better start than that. I reckon we have a big space to improve into too. Still has to make a few signings before the team is considered his own, but considering all the names we went through before appointing Slot, I think we got it spot on. Cant remember the last time I heard Alonso's name, and I was gutted we didnt get him at the time.

A long way to go before the end of the season and we can judge with more perspective, but he has been near perfect so far. I think that may be due to a certain continuity with Klopp's formation, if not the balls to the wall style. Arsenal will be a big game, but a defeat will feel more like a bump than a collapse.
