He was in management for almost ten years when he left Holland. The highest level he reached being his time at Ajax.
Slot will have been in management for eight years if he comes to England this summer with his highest level being his time at Feyenoord.
Ten Hag had 437 games as a manager before comeing to England, but 72 of them were as manager of a reserve team, so 365 games as manager of a first team. Slot has 240 as manager of a first team.
Both also had time as assistant coaches etc.
Don't think in terms of experience that there is a huge gap between Slot now and Hag when he left Holland.
Which one is actually the better manager is another question altogether, though think it is a safe bet to say that the behind the scenes set ups at Liverpool are more established and less fractious than the same at Manchester United so we should be better placed to support a manager/coach.

would've been fine. You should write for the Athletic!
