I wonder if any other managers have had a better start than that. I reckon we have a big space to improve into too. Still has to make a few signings before the team is considered his own, but considering all the names we went through before appointing Slot, I think we got it spot on. Cant remember the last time I heard Alonso's name, and I was gutted we didnt get him at the time.

A long way to go before the end of the season and we can judge with more perspective, but he has been near perfect so far. I think that may be due to a certain continuity with Klopp's formation, if not the balls to the wall style. Arsenal will be a big game, but a defeat will feel more like a bump than a collapse.
    It's slot vs alonso next

      Hmm, so room for improvement.

Though it probably acted as a handy early reminder to Slot that an off performance in the PL can be capitalised upon more easily than in the Eredivisie.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Yeah, I always say set the bar low so that you can impress people when you can summon up a bit of effort.

I actually think it was a blessing so to speak. It really really pissed Slot off that he is now on a mission not to let it happen again soon.

Still early days. But that's both Chelsea and Arsenal he's made some tweaks at half time which have been effective. Promising so far. Needs to rotate a little more for me. Endo hasn't had anywhere near enough minutes. I like the fact he'll take players off even the likes of trent and salah. Yeah he's doing good so far.

What a start for Arne one of the toughest managers to replace and he has stepped in and quietly made it his own.

He benefits from joining a team doing well with a manager who quit - which is rare in football. But still… he can’t do much more than he has.

He is very impressive, seems to live and breathe football and has encyclopaedia knowledge about the game.

I only found out yesterday he is living here alone currently, wife and kids still living in the Netherlands, what a life!!
