He's going to be under some serious pressure if we don't get a result midweek. Can't quite believe it's come to this so soon in the season after how well we did last year.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

As you mentioned earlier, he still seems composed and measured off the pitch, and his behaviour/manner on the touchline hasn't changed, it's just his decision making.

One other thing is that last season, half time made a big difference for us. We had plenty of crap first halfs last year, but we often came out looking a different side in the second. I still expected that to happen at HT yesterday, for him to fix things in the break, but that's not really happening.

I really hope he finds the answers very soon. More of the same, hoping it works, isn't the answer though.

That’s a good point. His isn’t influencing games in the same way as he did last season.

It’s a weird setup he is going for and no one seems to fully understand what he’s trying, worst of all the players don’t seem to know or look comfortable or confident in the system.

While he lost Heitinga he wasn’t part of his team at Feyenoord and still has all the people he brought with him so it can’t be his loss that’s made such a big difference.

Don’t want to doom but what happens if they lose the next two games and it’s 6 in a row? Both a tricky away games.

I think I said in the matchday thread that we have Man City 24-25 vibes, when they looked good at lots of different times in that run of 11 games with 1 win (or whatever it was), but then they would give away a stupid goal or look weirdly easy to play through

Different reasons and partly due to Rodri, but I've been getting the same feeling for a little while now

Regarding the 'worked us out' aspect, that's what so annoying about yesterday, because utd are one of the most dogmatic and predictable sides in the division, and Slot's had two weeks to prepare for it. It looked like he'd spend those 2 weeks on holiday.
So apparently he did go on holiday to Dubai in the international break.

4 days, surely he’s allowed time with his family

He is. I only mentioned it because I randomly made reference to it.

My reply seemed like I had a problem with what you said. I’ve just seen social media posts suggesting he was gone gif 2 weeks and tacticos who think him and his back room team should’ve been locked in at the Axa “fixing this” on white boards

It's an odd one. Elliott played a lot of games under klopp and was largely ignored by slot. Endo barely got any minutes last season even though we were screaming for a little rotation. Jones has become a back up where he was starting to play well for klopp. Bradley looked way more assured under klopp. Apart from Grav, and maybe Dom, who has performed better under the stewardship of slot?

Diaz and Gakpo both had their best LFC seasons under Slot.

Though you can add Quansah to to those that regressed under Slot.

It's going to be fine. It will just take more time than we wanted. I would say, that going for the win over the draw is always right, albeit it hasn't worked for us lately. The skew of outcomes is 2:1 in our favour - i.e. gain 2 more points or drop 1. Only in situations where at least a draw is critical should we ever play for a draw.
                          Really?

Slot needs to get back to basics. The team has lost its edge, and it starts with standards. Every player has to know that work rate and accountability are non-negotiable. If someone isn’t pressing, tracking back, or showing for the ball, they sit out. It’s that simple. The message has to be clear and consistent from the top.
Tactically, he needs to simplify things. The team is trying too hard to play the perfect pass every time, and it’s killing the rhythm. He should focus on structured build-up, moving the ball through the thirds with proper support and movement. Get the midfielders rotating, create passing angles, and use width to open teams up. Stop chasing the killer ball and start building the play properly. The chances will come when the structure’s right.
Out of possession, we need to get our bite back. The gaps between midfield and defence are too big, and teams are playing through them too easily. They have to close the lines, press together, and make it horrible for opponents to get out. That’s how Klopp’s teams lived — intensity and togetherness.
And Slot needs to show a bit more authority. Klopp had the smile and the charm, but players knew not to take liberties. Slot seems a bit too calm at times. He needs to show that edge — not by shouting, but by setting standards and sticking to them. Drop players if they’re not putting it in, reward the ones who are. That kind of accountability wakes a squad up.
If he sorts the basics and gets that intensity back, his tactical ideas will shine. But if he keeps trying to play open, attractive football without the work rate and structure behind it, the whole thing will keep falling apart.

I think he set the wrong tone after we won it last year. Players and manager off on their jolly hollies while the season was still in play.
