Em, I would hazard a guess Brentford or any other team won't be playing the ball on the ground now

The win was great but I'm far from convinced we've turned a corner. Prem teams will play exactly like every other sides has played against us in the league, Brentford will be no different & it's up to Slot to figure out how to deal with that... time will tell.

If other teams are basically playing kick and rush/get it to the big lad up front - as loads of teams are now doing - then Slot needs to stop whining, deal with it and counteract it.

I must say I've seen a new side to Slot in his pressers these past few weeks and he seems to be showing signs of strain. It will be interesting to see how he comes through this season and how his relationship with the players develops.

We were the ones leaving a chasm between midfield and defence for them to run into unchallanged
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Liverpool is a heavy club to manage. You only need to look at Klopp’s first press conferences compared to his last few years to see that. The pressure and scrutiny have always been part of the job. I actually think Slot is a lot smarter in his press conferences than people give him credit for. He knows how to handle the media and keep things calm.
Its never going to be as simple as teams saying let’s just play long balls and we’ll beat Liverpool. At the moment we are one of the most talked-about clubs in the world, and after the summer transfers, that was always going to be the case. Hopefully the players are taking Virgil’s lead and blocking out the noise as much as possible. If they keep their focus on what happens on the pitch, the rest will take care of itself.

I dont think chiesa has the pace or close all control to play as a winger.
He is good at holding the ball and bouncing defenders off him.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Wasn't Chiesa tearing up the right side for Italy before his unfortunate injuries?

The bit about the problem being the second balls was quite telling. Virgil and Ibou usually win their headers but our midfield don’t then regain possession. I guess if you often lump it to a grok up front then your midfielders are used to scrapping for the second balls but that’s not our game. Palace, Chelsea and United brought us down to their level.
                          Never knowingly optimistic

It was a tactic we used for years under Klopp, punt to Bobby and he’d back in without contesting and our midfield (Hendo, Gini and Fab) + Bobby would pounce

Yeah he hasn't a breeze what he's doing at the moment. It's genuinely shocking.
