Yeah man, jesus christ it's crazy it had come to this. I can't believe it to be honest.

The group is listening to this chap and they don't believe in him. The likes of chiesa not getting game time when he's popular in the changing room won't of gone unnoticed. Elliott was really popular too and he was ousted out. Endo not getting minutes. It's bull**** and he's a bull**** fraud. Klopps team one the league, he just happened to be there.

The team are giving all the signs of a manager that has lost the dressing room. It’s just a matter of time now. The Slot reign is over.

I reckon he's got until Xmas personally and if that happens, I'd just like to see him bench Salah for a few games and perhaps try playing differently to what has spectacularly failed us so far this season

But the question was genuinely asking who we might replace him with? None of the big guns are coming

He has to drop Salah. Worse than playing with 10 men because they keep passing it to him and he keeps losing the ball but does nothing to help the team defensively.

Pretty much where I am too. Can’t have world class players in every position but there’s a lot to be said for popular, solid squad players. Particularly when the usual bunch haven’t performed in months.

He doesn’t trust anyone outside of the usual 12 or 13 and what sort of conversations happened this summer about recruitment?! There must be dozens of managers out there who’d have an idea of what to do with the new lads.

i do wonder how much of this is on hughes. surely they work together, and didn't have a good plan between them.

Klopp is probably the "easiest" to get in terms of buying out a contract, though Klopp gave an interview only last month or the month before in which he stated firmly that he was done with being a football coach at club level.

Cannot think of a single manager that is at another club that we could realistically get at this stage of the season. Even when we got Klopp originally we were able to bring him in in October because he was not at another club at the time.

You are willing to have him stay until Christmas? No chance

So many questions on this - but he’s off to Saudi in the summer according to the rumours, which must be nice not to have to fix your own **** ups

Hughes and Slot need to go.

Yep, something went badly wrong somewhere in the communications between the two. It's possible that Hughes did his bit and delivered a quality squad for a 5-3-2 (except not getting the new CB over the line) and Slot decided against it eventually, but that seems highly unlikely.

                              Let's not rewrite history.

Was no more Klopp's team winning the leage than it was Ged's influence winning the CL in 2005.

Slot did brilliantly last season tweaking the team and it's set up. Players like Gravenberch grew under him and Slot's in game tactics changed many a result in our favour. The team that won the league was very much Slot's team. He deserves as much credit for that league title as he does the criticism for his share of what is going wrong this season.

This season however, and for whatever reasons, the manager just does not seem to have the same interest or fire in him and that ability to change things tactically in a quick manner seems to be gone.

Stubborn sticking to a small pool of players is not helping either nor is not adapting our general set up to suit the players we now have.

A portion of blame goes on a number of players too as more than one player (and not talking about the new ones) has the look of going through the motions.

Now I do think the passing of Jota has done some serious damage the the club on a mental level and that players, manager, coaching staff etc have all been impacted upon to varying degrees depending on each individual, but that coupled with the sluggish passing/pressing/playing, the stubborn tactics and what not have created the perfect **** storm.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
